This is a very upscale eating establishment. The food is wonderful and served not too large. What you get here is quality food, not quantity. Be prepared for a full course meal. And be prepared to pay for it. A very pleasant atmosphere.

Walking into Hitching Post II is like walking into a well preserved and cared for 1950's restaurant. There is a very comfortable vibe throughout the dining room. There are few surprises on the menu (when is the last time that your meal started with a relish tray and basket of club crackers?) but everything on the menu is well-prepared and... More

Yes, the food is good, most of the time. The last time I was there I had a $35 steak that was not as good as an eight dollar steak at Denny's. My son had the quail. It looked like it came out of the microwave. I was very disappointed. I have eaten there in the past and I've had... More

Visited this restaurant on many occasions. The steaks are of an excellent quality cooked and seasoned to perfection, all washed down with superb Pinot Noir.

We went to this restaurant because we had driven by it on the way to the casino & we thought we'd check it out on our way back to our hotel. We were not impressed. I had the top sirloin & my husband had the duck. I will admit the steak and the duck were flavorful but for the price... More

We went to the Hitching Post II for dinner on Monday night and enjoyed it so much we went back on Tuesday night. We had steak and wonderful grilled ono. The grilled artichoke was killer! The bar was fun and lively, many locals. The hamburger on Mon, Tues and Wed is worth the trip! We can't wait to go back.

I've wanted to come here for years ever since seeing the movie "Sideways". Its a simple little small town restaurant so it was basically what I expected, but if not for the fun of seeing a location used in a movie, it was unremarkable. I travel a lot for work and am often in small towns. I felt like I've... More

We sat at the bar based on the recommendation of a friend to go on Wednesday and have the best cheeseburger ever. He was right. Only offered at the bar, (and apparently top secret as it is not on the menu) the cheeseburger is huge, more than enough to share and delicious! It is served with fries or salad, both... More

Okay, we thought, they made a movie here, so you are milking it for all it is worth. Wrong! They had delicious food and excellent wine. We sat at the bar on Wednesday (burger night), and their burgers were top notch. It is definitely a bit kitschy and has some of the old world atmosphere of your father's steak house... More

We stopped in for dinner one night while we were in the area. The service was good and the food was tasty but nothing special. Tons of food though - you will not leave hungry!
