I usually eat here once to twice a month and it is away excellent. The service is great and friendly. The prices are average for Eastern Sierra and the portions are good - always have a bag to take home. It's great to have breakfast at noon. Might want to call - Monday closed winter?

We had our breakfast here after a quite night right on the other side of the street. So it is well located. Friendly staff and large and good plates. The sunny terrace is very lovely, but a little noisy because of the highway next side, but this isn t a big problem.

Not much too choose from in the drive along I395, so we were thrilled to chance upon the Hays Street Cafe. Huge mugs of coffee, refilled and enormous cinnamon scrolls. One was more than enough for two people. We didn't eat lunch, but by the look of the plates being taken to other table, the helpings were generous and prices... More

Friendly staff, large portions, quality ingredients, tasty; a must if you're in the area. We ate here twice in a short stay in the town and it was the best eating experience hands down.

You don't expect 2 degrees temperature in mid-October, but that is what it had been earlier in the morning. Inside, however, the rustic decor was comfortable with interesting views of the mountains and parts of the town. Our breakfast was good. I would have liked to try the big cinnamon rolls that were available, but that would have been overkill.... More

The perfect location for a delicious breakfast. The snowy mountains could be seen from our table. The breakfast specials and menu presented interesting and delicous breakfast items. Homemade cinnamon rolls were an added treat that could be eaten at breakfast, or purchased to be taken home.

We stopped in on our ride from tahoe to bishop today. It was a cold ride, 54 outside. He had French toast & coffee. I had the soup (tomato Parmesan) & hot chocolate. It's a little place but just what we needed. Nice & toasty. Service was nice!

After a long and very cold bicycle ride this was a great find. Lots of friendly locals as well as tourists. Had a very good breakfast there. Staff was very nice, location was clean, well priced and a good meal. It could not have been better.

Great place to stop for breakfast if you are in or passing through Bridgeport. Stopped at the Bridgeport Inn first, but they weren't opening until 8:30AM. Lucky for me, as I discovered the Hays Street Cafe down the street. I ordered 3 pancakes and coffee and the pancakes were so big, I couldn't finish them. (Imagine that!) The place was... More

If you ever visit or drive by Bridgeport CA, be sure to stop at the Hays Street Café. You might have to wait a few minutes but it worth it! We tried their famous pancakes and have to say, they were the best pancakes we've ever had. Big, moist and delicious! Try their cinnamon roll, it's also big and delicious.... More
