Closed due to retirement

Sorry to read that this restaurant is closed, but congratulate the owners on deciding to retire. I hope that whoever buys it offers the same great food.

Big meals and well done in all regards. Best breakfast in town. Huge pancakes and cinnamon roles, but all on menu is much better than average. Crowds will be there, so timing is important. Lunch is just as good as breakfast, but again expect crowds. End of town location.

Stopped here for a coffee and roll on the way to Bodie. We asked to takeaway half of the cinnamon rolls we ardered! Great food, "home town" feel.

It had been a few years since I had started a back packing trip with a breakfast at the Hayes Street Cafe and the breakfast was as good as I remembered. This time my wife and I stopped by for lunch an opted for the all day breakfast offering. I had a veggie omelet and appreciated the freshly sautéed squash,... More

Had breakfast there twice during my last trip. Both breakfasts, an omelet one morning and french toast another, where good. The place is clean, coffee was plentiful, portions were large, staff was friendly and accommodating. Place was packed both days so be prepared for a wait and not the fastest service. Prices were reasonable for it being a touristy area.... More

Absolutely lovely site and views. The food is plentiful and tastes wonderful. This is a great place for breakfast in Bridgeport. The biscuit and gravy is unique. Looking forward to our next visit in 2015!

This is just a friendly, high quality, busy breakfast and lunch place. Our breakfasts were huge and delicious with home-made hash browns and biscuits and excellent link sausage. They even have a Cinnamon Bun breakfast that was obviously a local favorite. Eating here on a crisp fall day was a delightfully memorable experience.

We stopped for lunch because the place was packed and we used that old belief "if the locals like it, it must be good." Well, most of the people there were folks like us - just passing through and not local. Regardless, this little family-owned place was cute, clean and neat as a pin. The menu was typical, but had... My husband, friend, and I stopped here for lunch and all I can say is that, it was just ok. I had a bacon cheese burger and it wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either. The burger was dry and the bacon was very fatty. the fries were home style and cooked to were it was almost burnt, not my... More
