We went here for a relaxing evening with adult family members. The main bar is a phenomenon, worth the visit just to see it. We found the restaurant noisily informal, but that would be expected in a brew pub. The initial service was quick with good drinks. We were seated later in the back, where it is a dining room,... Been going to TAPS in Brea since the day they opened. It's a great venue with a well trained staff, however the food quality is slipping. The Drunken Mahi Mahi is just not what it used to be! They used to serve it with 4 won ton tacos that were so delicious, but now have changes to very heavy thick... More

We went to Taps for brunch with a group of ten. They seated us quickly even though the place was quite crowded. We had to valet park since parking there is a problem. There just aren't enough spaces to accommodate all of the businesses who use the parking lots in back of the restaurants/shops. The brunch came with free-flowing Mimosas... More

We had excellent fresh fish at taps! The micro brew beers also got good marks. Swordfish, sea bass, fish n chips, and an Italian spinoff seafood linguini plus scallops made up our parties selections. All were excellent, service was adequate. Probably a good idea to make a reservation, parking is behind and its terribly crowded. If it stresses you let... More

Well, my family and i went through to this place based on excellent compliments from friends about how good this place was. I had a great time, slow service but the food and atmosphere was good. I order the Cioppino, a little too tomatoey for me but had very fresh seafood in it. Overall, it was a good restaurant to... More

We were here for a small group meeting with a limited menu. Often this is disappointing. The waiter knew his beer very well. The appetizers were - well not that appetizing - hard to eat, no napkins, no lemon for the seafood and no chips for the dip. But the dinner and dessert absolutely made up for it! The lobster... More

We have been coming here since it opened in 1999. It is up scale but not pretentious. Love the sea bass, fish and chips, burger (I think it's gone however) and their HH pizzas. Also, you have to love a restaurant that gives you a loaf of extra sour warm sourdough when you sit down. They care about their customers... More

You have to make reservations or wait! I am a Halibut lover! but I was not impress by their Halibut and clams dish the fish was either overcooked or not very fresh! I will try a second time, I liked the ambiance.

My son and I came here for dinner on a Friday night without a reservation. It was early, 5:30pm and they said the wait would be 10 minutes. The host asked me if I had a phone number on file with them and I said yes because I had signed up for their specials and coupons online and included my... More
