My son and I came here for dinner on a Friday night without a reservation. It was early, 5:30pm and they said the wait would be 10 minutes. The host asked me if I had a phone number on file with them and I said yes because I had signed up for their specials and coupons online and included my... More

Had dinner here (recommended by hotel). Nice selection of beer and food. Prompt service and good food. Some interesting dishes and well prepared. The one thing that surprised me was the smoke. We ate outside. As it is California, I expected it to be smoke free (I figure they are on the cutting edge of those types of regulations). But... More

We spent the day in San Diego where we originally planned to have dinner, but finished early so headed back to our hotel. We picked Taps based on their menu which featured seafood, its ratings on Trip Advisor and the proximity of Brea to our hotel. The off menu special of Halibut with clams was great. The grilled artichoke, roasted... More

I have recently eaten at Taps twice. The first time we ordered off the normal menu and found out right before our food was delivered that there was a "pre fixe" menu for $30 per person. Our food was good so we decided to come back again to try the "pre fixe" menu. You get a glass of beer or... More

I don't typically expect white table cloths at breweries . Beer isn't known for being high class. The waitress had this fancy little crumb picker upper thing she would run against the table while we were eating which was kindof odd. The servicewas extremely slow. And for being a fish house there wasn't that much fish on the menu. There... More

We went to Taps Fish House & Brewery in Brea, CA for our anniversary. The service was spot on, probably the best I've ever experienced in a restaurant. The Beer Sampler was great, appetizers very good, and the Wine List was very impressive. The Entree's were excellent, and the dessert was way good. The wife and me were very impressed... More

It's certainly a consistently good place to go - especially like the Sunday brunches, but it IS pretty pricey. Might not be the best place for young children. Their beers are consistently tasty as is their seafood entrees. On the brunch, I'd steer clear of most of the entrees that are on the lower level over the heat. They are... More

A friend and I enjoyed the Creme Ale and split a couple of appetizer specials and were not disappointed. Great Sports Bar feel

I am rating Taps only on their Happy Hour. I have not had dinner there but have heard it's excellent. Their Happy Hour is from 4-7 pm, which is nice since we usually can't get to a restaurant before 6 p.m. They have nicely discounted beer, wine, and martinis (their lemon drop martini is a favorite), and the service is... The food is good and the service is excellent. The location is convenient for access and parking and they have an excellent selection of beer. What more is there to say?
