Saturday birthday dinner

We were seated immediately and a server came over quickly asking for drink orders. My wife always drinks Pinot Grigio and I ordered a mixed whiskey drink. The server asked me if I wanted a double, which should have told me something, but I missed it. The mixed drinks were incredibly weak. I had... read more

I can't believe I have waited this long to review TAPS. I have been eating here since they opened. I firmly believe they have one of the best steaks in OC/LA. It gets busy, so make a reservation. Valet parking is $5 right outside the door. There is self parking but its pretty cramped, the area gets busy. I like... More

A Favorite of ours to go for special celebrations. Last time we were celebrating a woman in her 70's getting her PhD. The food is always excellent and the service is tops.

When I saw the menu online I found it to my liking. Unfortunately, the execution is far from perfect. Simply put the chef seems to be struggling to deliver the quality this place seems to promise. There was something lacking in every dish we tried. The worst offender was the escargot creation, misconceived and unenjoyable. It's a shame as the... More

Taps has always been a go to place for fine dining. The sea food is to die for and the service is always spot on. If we want to impress our friends we do not hesitate to make reservations knowing that our guest will not be disappointed. But lately we have been making it a habit about once a month... More

My brother-in-law was craving calamari and we were in the neighborhood and decided to give Taps a try. My wife and I are vegetarian and inquired about possible vegetarian dishes when we checked in at the podium. We were assured that there are many options or the chef could make something special. After being seated, we quickly realized that we... More

We had a business lunch here. The service was great. Two of us had the specials of the day... Great stuff. This was my first time at Taps. It seemed a little pricey...3 people for lunch and it was $100.00...no apps...no drinks... Just water and tea. I would come back...

Being essentially a sport bar means lots of loud noise ... great for those enjoying sports ... little less for us grandparents.

We came to TAPS to celebrate and when we said why we were there, the hostess offered a heartfelt congratulations with a smile that made our choice one we were glad we made😃 The server was equally joyful in her congratulations and made the experience that much more enjoyable and when she brought over a celebratory dessert with congrats prominently... Delicious, tasty dinners with great beer! I would recommend for a nice dinner date, for our budget at least it is a little pricy. We never walk out under $100 for 2 people - but we also drink a couple beers and typically order seafood. So take that as you will :)
