Busy Breakfast Spot in Borrego Springs

This little diner is always packed at breakfast. The food is standard fare, but plentiful and well-priced, and the vibe is oh, so retro.

We stopped here during a cross-country bicycle ride. The waitress was very friendly and we had great service. It was a solid breakfast and we also had bagel sandwiches wrapped up to go for us to eat later. Good option for an early morning breakfast.

Have been coming here on and off since I started coming to Borrego many years ago. This is the kind of lunch spot that you can count on for consistency.

Diner atmosphere in the desert. Love the breakfasts there. If you like old fashion biscuits and gravy, then go there. Delicious

A diner/coffee shop that looks just like what it is...placed in a strip mall, it has zero character and no view. The food, however, is decent, fresh and filling. Salads are crispy with toppings a plenty. Sandwich bread is fresh and tasty. Mexican food is also good. The french fries are AMAZING. Breakfast is also a good bet here. There... More

I'm sure there is a Denny's type clientele that loves this place. It just wasn't our speed in food type & quality. My tuna melt was very greasy. The no onion requested salad came with an abundance of onions. The clam chowder was okay. Service was, um, conservative.

This place takes me right back to places my family used to on road trips when I was a kid in the 70s. Lots of vinyl, lots of Formica, with a long bar for solo diners. It's in the main strip mall in downtown Borrego Springs, but it's around the back, which probably makes it quieter than the places that... More

Stopped on a drive with friends for lunch. Nice clean and good food. Really liked my Chicken Torta. Nice and cool and good service. Good brewed iced tea.

Borrego Springs attracts a lot of "active seniors" and many of them, along with some less active ones, seem to gather here, especially on a Friday when there's a all-you-can eat fish & chips special. The food is plain but good, as is the formica-decorated dining room. The prices are moderate, and you won't leave hungry. It would be a... More
