Enjoyed breakfast there two times this week. Very good biscuits and gravy. Homey atmosphere with mostly locals. Full carafe of ice tea was a relief from the heat and great service.

So yet another review of the places we ate in the hot off season of Borrego Springs. As I am always trying to eat low carb, my first meal here was breakfast and was a perfectly fine omelette and cottage cheese. Lunch was really good... We both had The grilled chicken sandwich, the baja, with avocado and bacon, lettuce wrapped... More

we had breakfast here and teh food was excellent. Large portions and well prepared. Service was excellent. This is an older local diner type of place so there is not much atmosphere but good food. Would recommend.

On the main drag in Borrego. Lively atmosphere with seating in the bar area or booth seating on the other side that is quiet and more intimate. The service was quite friendly and the menu quite large. The burgers are great, and the dinner I had very good. I would definitely come back to try another dinner selection.

Kendall's is one of the nicer finds in Borrego. It's not the finest food you will ever eat. But we found the fare to be quiet good and the service very attentive. Prices are just a tad above what I might want to pay, but considering you are a couple miles off the beaten path just being in Borrego, it's... More

We go to Borrego frequently. Kendall's is the go to breakfast place: good food; reasonable prices; locals hangout.

If you are looking for a retro diner type place--one that is truly retro, not just trying to be--I can certainly recommend Kendall's for breakfast or lunch (haven't tried dinner, but really must). We just had lunch there yesterday and I have to say, the Reuben sandwich was the best I have had in years. Maybe ever! Breakfast is straight-ahead,... More

On a recent trip to Borrego Springs with 16 birders, our group had breakfast here twice, and also ordered boxed lunches for our group twice. We showed up for breakfast before 6 AM, which is when they open, and we were invited in immediately. With 16 people ordering 16 different breakfasts, I don't know how they managed to get those... Went there for lunch and had the hamburger and enchiladas. Everything tasted like it was frozen, French tries, hamburger beef patty, enchilada, etc. If Chef Robert Irvine from Restaurant Impossible would visit this place he’d be very disappointed with the chef. I would not go back.

Diner atmosphere. Great service and our food was good. Cozy, as it seems the locals like it here, which is always a good sign. I had a short stack of pancakes which were great. Endless cup of coffee plus a to-go cup. Worth a stop.
