We were craving steak so we decided to hit the Coyote Steakhouse after a long day's hike. The location is very nice with a lovely patio if you choose to dine outside. The patio faces the pool of the hotel where the restaurant is part of. I had the filet with some side sauces and it was okay. The Bernaise... More

It had been over 20 years since we visited this property and we were anxious to see how it has evolved. Owners Cindy and David have done a great job of finessing the 1950's decor into a relaxing and welcoming space. Sitting outside on the terrace as the sun dips behind the mountains is magical. Tall, tall palm trees rustle... More

Best huevos rancheros I have ever had. Our group loved the special priced margaritas and everyone agreed the Mexican food was terrific.

Ordered a bowl of soup with a turkey sandwich, simple but taste full lunch. The hotel definitely has been build in the fifties. Quiet eating while looking to the squirrels on the lawn in a relaxed setting and a friendly staff.

My wife and I and 2 guests had dinner here and all of us enjoyed the food and the experience. The wait staff were friendly and attentive to our guests diet choices and the pacing of the meal. Our guests had the salmon and the chicken genovese while wife and I shared a 12 oz. prime rib which would be... More

We enjoyed an evening out here we came around 6pm and learned the dinner rush and Early Bird specials start at 5pm so we were happy when the family with small kiddies seated next to us was just leaving as we sat down. It is a smallish place with the ambient lighting the decor looked very nice .Our server was... More

We stayed at the Palms at Indian Head for three nights, which is where the Krazy Coyote is located. The hotel is small, so the restaurant counts on business from the locals. Our breakfast was included with our stay, so we enjoyed excellent morning meals here. Our AM waitress, Annie was a great source of local information. We also had... More

The food here is worth driving for! This is our second, non-consecutive Thanksgiving here and it was wonderful. I had the turkey (moist, with amazing sweet potatoes) and my husband had the salmon. We both had the apple pie. We left very happy. We drove from our mountain town, full of tourists for the holiday weekend, for the relief of... More

We ate at Krazy Coyote on our last trip, 4 years ago, and it seemed better then. Now the food is ok. The service is ok. The prices are fair. The wine list is ok but like all of Borrego Springs, nothing really good.

Krazy Coyote has gone through a number of incarnations over the years. It now has two menus (lower priced and higher priced) in the same room at the same time; you can mix and match. (Interesting idea.) We chose the higher priced menu for entree; added a salad from the lower priced menu. The food was fair at best; service... More
