I love Laurens restaurant but comparing it to Table 128 is comparing apples to oranges. Table 128 is a upscale, more sophisticated, type of restaurant in every way. So while I would say Laurels is perhaps number 2 in the area with an inviting casual atmosphere, Table 128 is definitely number one. Make a reservation and be aware of the... More

Mendocino's Anderson Valley has several good places to eat. Table 128 is not one of them. Why would anyone would spend $170 for a dinner for two for diffident, slow service and uninspired food when there are solid alternatives like Lauren's across the street or Coq Au Vin north of Philo, where you can get twice the meal for half... The food is local, fresh, and family style. The staff is awesome and fun, and really makes you feel at home. Sitting around the fire pit after dinner is a must! I cannot wait to go back!

We enjoyed our prix fixe dinner at this restaurant. The menu changes daily. What was on tap for last night was: gazpacho, rib-eye steak with butter beans and kale, and pecan pie with ice-cream. Everything tasted good. The wine menu is extensive with a variety of non-alcholic drinks offered. The setting is casual--with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Definitely make a rez for this spot if you are in the area if this suits you, it's not for everyone! Check their website for what they are serving that week - they serve a set meal each night, no choices and it is a set price. They use lots of wonderful local ingredients and intersting combos. So if you... More

This is the perfect antedote to a gazillion dollar dinner at French Laundry. Prepared with care and served by an excellent and gracious staff, we were happy from start to finish. The restaurant posts their family style, prix-fixe meal each week, so you know what you're headed for. Ours was fabulous. Don't eat a lot ahead of time, it's a... More

Great prix fixe gourmet dinner using fresh produce from garden. Each dish was presented by the chef and it's ingredients and preparation explained. An awesome experience.

The former "Boonville Hotel Restaurant", renamed Table 128, serves up prix fixe meals "family style" -- each course is brought out on a single larger plate to divvy up between guests (in our case, two). Our four-course menu consisted of prosciutto wrapped local halibut, cilantro mojo verde & cherry tomato... roasted beet salad, arugula, toasted nuts & cider vinaigrette... grilled... More

We were staying at the Hotel and booked a Sunday night dinner. In the winter they only serve on the weekends. I am glad we didn't miss the opportunity. The menu is a set menu for the evening. On Saturday night when we were leaving to go to another restaurant I was a little envious as the aromas were very enticing.... More

We stayed at the Booneville Hotel (a gem) but didn't know we'd be treated to such a high-quality dinner al fresco. They were a little short on waitstaff, so it wasn't lightning fast. It's all small plates, so order lots as each one will be polished off pronto. All fresh, local, inspired California cuisine.
