Valentine Dinner

We had a great dinner at the Bluewater Bistro for our Valentine's Day. We were vesting Bodega Bay for the weekend and travelled with another couple. The menu had something for everyone and the sunset view was spectacular. Would definitely recommend for dinner or a special evening.

We had a very nice Thanksgiving Day dinner but I was a bit taken aback when I discovered they dropped their normal happy hour for this day. I had planned to bring a bottle of my own wine and pay corkage but didn't since they advertised a very reasonable happy hour. So, I was stuck with very expensive wine from... More

The food here is good, but the views - especially on a clear day - are amazing. Whether you choose to eat in the main restaurant or up in the bar, you're going to be pleased with the menu selection and the views.

We had a group of eight for breakfast and only the upstairs bar was open. The small space was crowded and the one waitress gave great service, given that she was the only wait person there. Our breakfasts were very good; the menu is limited but there was something for everyone. Even a breakfast salad! I'd go back and would... More

Staying in a home on the golf course and went to this restaurant for the convenience. Friday night, very few customers. Their menu had veal scallopini listed, but was told by the waitstaff that it was a breaded cutlet with a slice of lemon...... That is not scallopini, but does describe schnitzel. Decided to go for the wild salmon with... More

We enjoy the Bluewater Bistro for the great view and good food and have been there several times. Our last visit was disappointing due to the limited service. The server/bartender was very personable and was trying very hard to provide good service. She was overwhelmed by the workload and needed some help. Her duties included tending bar, taking food orders and... More

I love Bluewater Bistro and have gone there for Sunday brunch on a number of occasions. I always enjoy the food & mimosa. I was, unfortunately, a little disappointed when I visited last Sunday. I informed our waitress upon arrival that I was gluten free and if she knew what that meant. She kind of passed it off and kept... More

Yes, a beautiful view from the upper restaurant. Our waitperson, Linda, was just super: good service, warm personality and fun to be around. I really liked the fish tacos and my split pea soup. The cost was reasonable. Nice place to relax and take in the view. You will like it along with other fine places in Bodega Bay.

I should say that this restaurant is on the cusp between two and three circles. The view makes this place. There's a beautiful view of Doran Beach, as long as the fog is not in. The restaurant has two levels: the lower is the formal dining room, used for dinner, while the upper (bar) area is for the lunch crowd.... More

I tried this place before (2 years ago) and it was good, but never got me to write a review. I went there recently and had a fabulous meal. Lamb, ribs and salmon were at our table....and we were trading little plates. I didn't order the lamb...but should have :). Service was good and view leaves you speechless. Great day,... More
