Views and service were great and the food was average. The special black light that lit up in the evening when the seagulls flew over was a great touch given that this is where the movie The Birds was filmed in 1965.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years. When my husband and I arrived, a bit disheveled from our morning horseback ride June 28th, we were immediately provided a table. However, we were very rudely treated by our waitress. She made us wait a very long time for our drinks, which we had to order three times. then forgot to... More

Stopped here for lunch while traveling down Hwy 1. Promptly seated with a great water view. I had the Hot Crab open faced sandwich and my hubby had the Deep fried Prawn. I really liked mine and my hubby enjoyed his as well.

not the restaurant. Both have nice views but I have no doubt, the restaurant serves better food. It was 2 pm on a Friday and I did not want to shell out much money for lunch...good example, of you get what you pay for. The fish and chips were probably the worst I have ever had. The French fries were... More

This is one of the few places to get breakfast but it is a good breakfast and their lunch and dinner menus are impressive . They are also a fish processor so all the fish in the restaurant and market are very fresh.

Try the crab omlete for a real treat. $21 a pop, but stuffed with crab and very tasty! Everything here is expensive, so plan on $60 for two....

Not atypical of a larger complex in tourist/sports oriented NorCal coastal towns, The Tides is breakfast-dinner. Nothing on the menu you can't get elsewhere, but the views are very good, service above average.

This is a favorite stop on a perfect beach day, We decided not to run home and cook, a great idea! Service in the bar midweek was friendly and excellent. Had a Caesar salad with Prawns, a good choice, the dressing was fresh and complemented the Prawns well. If you decide to take a picnic to the beach, they also... More

We recently had dinner at the TIDES in Bodega Bay, California. A very interesting place. For those that might not know, Bodega Bay area is where the motion picture the BIRDS, Alfred Hitchcock was filmed! The TIDES restaurant has a nice fish market and a very nice gift shop as well as Bar and formal restaurant. The restaurant is on... More
