We ate dinner here before reading TA reviews, based on its location looking out onto the water. Service was friendly and responsive. The menu was large. We ordered scallops. While we were impressed by the number of scallops on the plate, it seemed to us that they had been defrosted, rather than cooked from fresh. This was reflected in the... More

Very overpriced and mediocre tourist food. I had the calamari steak - which was breaded and fried and was covered in cheese and tomato sauce. Hello, this is NOT the 1970's anymore! Certainly not worth $20.00 either. You are paying for the view and nothing more. If you have to eat here, only order what is fresh, local and perhaps... More

The florentine oysters are to die for and there deluxe burger is the best in town. You can eat both of them in the bar with great service from there bartenders.

My husband and I drove to Bodega Bay on the Anniversary and stopped at the Tides. We had a bowl of clam chowder and thought it was the best we had ever had. The next day we found ourselves going back through Bodega Bay with my sister in law and brother in law. I ask if they wanted to stop.... More

We had Pamela as our waitress and I think we had the best service we've ever had. The food is very good, but the view is even better. We also had the complementary breakfast there from Inn at the Tides two days. Very nice selection and great value. They even put together a togo continental breakfast for us the last... More

We stopped in for lunch on our journey along the Northern California coast. The Tides has a very nice waterfront location in Bodega Bay. Supposedly this is the one remaining location from Hitchcock's movie "The Birds". I had the fish and chips which was very satisfying. The views were great and the service was excellent. There is an accompanying bar... More

I had the Grilled Halibut with mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. Yes it was a little pricey ( $28.00) but it was very good. Since this is a tourist location, we kind of expected the prices to be high. My Husband had the Calamari Steak and he loved it. We will definitely go back to this place in the future.

Terrific food. Great seafood and wine shop. Worthwhile shop. First class operation, yet down to earth.

The harbor views are magnificent, and we had high hopes when our party of 6 were seated by the window. The cold seafood appetizers were ok (great oysters and crab), but the main courses were a huge disappointment. The fried chicken was charred, the mussels were tiny, and many looked like they had exploded during cooking.
