everything is "just off the boat". There were complaints about the length of the line and the prep time, but the fact is that the line is long on weekends because it's the best. So get over it. Stand in line with a very good friend, enjoy the fact that you're right in the marina, stacked crab pots and all,... More

Don't miss this little gem in Bodega Bay. There's usually a line, but it's worth the wait. Looking forward to going back on our next trip through the area.

Spent my early years on Cape Cod & thought we had the best clam chowder in the world!! Not so, this was the best!1 Thick with lots of clams and a touch of garlic. WONDERFUL! Outside eating & not fancy. Overlooking harbor & boats.

This small crab shack wins all the local contests for best chowder. My husband gets the red, I get the white. We split the excellent crab sandwich...get it all to go and drive to the end of the road to Bodega Head and watch the waves! (or whales when in season!) Closed on Wednesdays.. There are picnic tables in front.

Rated as the best clam chowder?...chowder was good, flavorful, with some veggies, but a little thinner and fewer clams than I'd like...I'd have it again, but not the best ever. Still needed to add salt, pepper and Tabasco. "Shrimp Cocktail" was a container of bay shrimp with a side of lemon and cocktail sauce. They did also offer sandwiches, seafood... More

I am not a big clam fan but the clam chowder is awesome here. I was a little disapointed that you can only get cold crab and due to health dept no drawn butter. Crab was okay. Definitely have the chowder! I would go back just for that.

Its all about the chowder. We are addicted. We recently stopped there for lunch on our way to our rental and then stopped there at 9am on our way out to pick up chowder and crab sandwich to go. Crab cakes are only available starting at 1pm on Saturday and Sunday. Get in line early as they go fast.

As I was preparing to write this review, the Tripadvisor form for asked if this was one of the best meals I've had in a restaurant. I hesitated for just a second for two reasons. One was; does a paper cup full of chowder constitute a meal and two; was this a restaurant or a food stand with a few... More
