Had a great couple of bowls of red clam chowder with a view of the marina and the fishing fleet. aaa we missed the crap cakes, next time. a place to not miss and a experience again.

I happen to be lucky enough to live right down the street from Spud Point Marina where the Spud Point Crab Company is located in beautiful Bodega Bay, CA. The clam chowder is the best I have ever eaten, and I have had my fair share around the country from Boston to Seattle. Carol the owner is welcoming even with... More

No, this is not a restaurant! It is a tiny building with a small counter, and an even smaller menu. There are a few pick-nick tables outside. You can have the white chowder, the red chowder, the crab sandwich, and on weekends the crab cakes. But then on weekends the place is mobbed! We were there on a week day.... More

Weekday lunch quick service. Not sure which was better, the chowder or the dungeness crab sandwiches. A must stop if you like either. Walk up service with a few picnic tables out front. Go for the great seafood.

You will pass this place if you drive out to Bodega Bay Head which you really should do. The crab cakes are only available on weekends so I will have to go back someday but my husband and I were completely satisfied with our chowder and crab sandwich. I'm not a chowder fan but this chowder changed my mind. Thankfully... More

You may have to stand in line a bit with the locals to get your crab sandwich and clam chowder, but once you've sampled both of these, you won't mind crawling there on your hands and knees. We got ours to go, and sat on the benches across the street and watched the seals swimming among the fishing boats. Next... More

We RVed in Bodega Bay, Trip Advisored this place, and found ourselves enjoying some amazing clam chowder and crab sandwiches. Sounds crazy, but the roasted garlic in the chowder is what makes it so awesome (the fresh seafood doesn't hurt at all either). Watch out for the amazingly long lines at obvious meal times and try to go on the... More

We can't go to Bodega Bay without stopping at Spud Point Crab shack. My wife loves the clam chowder and the crabs we buy there are some of the biggest and freshest and sweet tasting along the coast. The crab may cost a little more, but it's worth it!

This place was recommended by a local whale watcher who we happened to meet at Bodega Head and it was some of the best seafood we've had. Get the white clam chowder (not the red- but you can taste both if you want) or a crab sandwich. Both were unbelievably delicious. While we were eating, we saw them cooking the... More

They claim to be the best clam chowder in the land, and I have to say it knocks the socks of any other chowder we had in San Francisco. Also had a chap playing blues guitar and mouth organ outside........perfect. Location is to die for as well.
