The crab is fresh and perfectly cooked. A little more than a road side stand this place has almost no parking, and very little seating. I take a passenger with me who will hop out and get the order which we take to-go. The clam chowder is also very good, but too hot to eat when served, allow lots of... More

On our way to Bodega Bay we stopped at Joseph Phelps Freestone Winery for a tasting. We are so glad we did for two reasons: great pinot and a staff recommendation to eat at Spud Point Crab Company in order try their incredible clam chowder. Having had, up-to-now, the best clam chowder ever at Marriott's Wentworth By The Sea in... More

We were looking for a simple place to eat seafood similar to what one would find in Maine. The Visitor's Center suggested this restaurant, and this is exactly what we were looking for, a small roadside cafe with a nice view of the bay. I had a crab roll. The bread was lightly toasted and lightly slathered with sauce. The... More

We were drawn to this roadside chowder stand due to the chowder reputation and picnic table atmosphere. The chowder and crab sandwich were spot on. Absolutely delish. The menu is limited and it's no frills. However, while we were eating our chowder, three local's came in for lunch directly off their fishing boats. That tells you right there that Spud... More

We stopped by here for a lunch as I was having a Clam Chowder craving and this was supposed to be the best in town.... I really think it is! We had looked at a couple of other places but just couldn't get over the outrageous prices they were wanting for a teeny cup of chowder, absolute robbery! Spud's on... More

My husband and I stopped here for a bowl of their award winning chowder. It was pretty good, not the best ever, but good. My husband ordered the crab cocktail too, which was meaty and tasty for $10.00, I thought it was a good value. I am told the crab cakes here are to die for. Available daily at 1:00... More

Family really enjoyed this little place off the bay frontage road. No alcohol, but the seafood is very good. I loved the clam chowder, my wife not as much. The crab sandwich was good and the fish and chips very, very good.

And that says a lot, since here in Maryland we get pretty good seafood. Not a fancy place, but a fun one, and worth a wait!
