Go past the McDonald and eat here

We found this through Trip Advisor. There aren't many choices between Palm Desert and Phoenix. We split the beef brisket. We found this through Trip Advisor. There aren't many choices between Palm Desert and Phoenix. We split the beef brisket. The interesting thing about the preparation was that the meat was ground instead of sliced. It reminded me of Uncle Sam's in Phoenix. Service was good, it was essentially fast food. The place was busy but we got serviced quickly.... More

If you don't mind the lack of ambience, the bbq is terrific! We always stop in Blythe both going and coming from California and have seen the sign for this place but never stopped. It will now become our dining place in Blythe. The house-made pastrami sandwich is so delicious and juicy! I had the tri-tip sandwich - while good,... More

Spent a couple od days in Blythe and discovered this busy gem. First visit got the 1/2 rack of ribs. I WAS STUFFED Meaty and flavorful. Side or of premade potato salad. Ok. Sat out side in the shade with my dog. They brought him water without me asking. Caring staff. Very friendly. Second visit. Got chicken topped salad and... More

Based on reviews, we stopped at Rebel BBQ while driving through Blythe. The pastrami was shredded with burned edges and had little taste other than salt. Neither my husband nor I could finish eating the sandwich. Carl' Jr. Across the street would have been preferable. Fast food was not our choice but at least you know what to expect.

Had the half-rack of ribs, which were excellent — almost more than I could eat. The jalapeno potatoes salad that came with it was great, obviously homemade. Garlic bread was dry, not wort eating. OK selection of beers. Service is fast-food type — order and pay at center, get a number, grab a table, and the stuff will bring your... More

We stopped in here on our way to Phoenix and I am sure glad we did! The food was plentiful and delicious. I got the brisket sandwich with jalapeño potato salad and opted for an extra side ($2) of the creamy coleslaw. I also got the white sauce ($1) for a horseradish kick. Everything was equally tasty although a tad... More

WE enjoyed the food, absolutely a great find and a MUST STOP if you are in the area. the ONLY negative was that we were the ONLY Non-locals in the "joint" - This is DEFINITELY a JOINT - and everyone was helped and received their orders promptly and with a smile; our order wasn't ready till EVERYONE else received theirs,... I love when I walk into an unknown restaurant and the staff can tell me their favorite item. If you don't know what you're serving, how can you recommend it? I put my lunch for 4 in the hands of the waitress and she did me right. There were a lot of menu choices and then sides, so I just... More

Driving I 10 to Phoenix saw highway signs for all fast food types. Stopped for fast food and saw Rebel BBQ. A hole in the wall type which proved good. Shared brisket and pulled pork over delicious cheese covered fries. Meat was good barbecue but sparse, however, fries were hot and many as other reviewers have commented. Interesting sides offered... My husband and I stopped here for dinner one night - it's a very, very casual place and the food is good. My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I had the beef brisket. Go with the beef. We both agreed it was better. Also, order the fries. I ordered the mac and cheese and didn't really enjoy it... More
