This place has been closed for business since at least June 2013..... It was a stuffy place that tries but fails consistently, plus the block its located on is a dying block as neighboring business had closed also!

This place smells like mildew and mold and the furniture is falling apart. The food is okay, but this is not the Royal Oak of several years ago. It's become a run down, hole in the wall with line cooks masquerading as chefs. Service is good, food is average, atmosphere is horrible. The place smells. Check your chair carefully before... More

The food is at, or above, average, and the servers know your name. Or you can hang out in the bar, lean on the counter, sing along with the piano player. It's not up to date, and thank goodness for that!

You'll love the traditional English fare at the Royal Oak. It's a Lake Arrowhead iconic location. Prices are steep, so be prepared! With that said - totally worth it. If you've got a singing voice...go on Friday or Saturday nights and slip into the Piano bar to sing to Steve Lawless' excellent piano playing!!!! This is most certainly an "adults... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoy this restaurant. The food is excellent. Most recently I had the rack of lamb which was very good. The decor is old English style. Frequently after 8pm people gather by the bar and sing around the piano. Service is very friendly too.

The food is good but the place smells of mildew which really curbs my appetite. I took my meal home and very much enjoyed it by the fire. Do give it a go, you might be pleasantly surprised by the upscale touches in this menu.

We went to the Royal Oak early in the evening when it was very quiet. The restaurant is attractive with a pub-like decor. All the staff, especially our waiter Ryan, were friendly, efficient, and professional. My husband got the beef stroganoff, which he has eaten around the globe, and found it outstanding. I got the baked rigatoni, which was huge... More

I had steak and potatoe and salad, it was very good, but not excellent, the steak was a little dry. Maybe overdone. The scallops were excellent, the best we ever had. I don't usually like them, but these were really good. The atmosphere is kind of british old pub, could use some upgrading.

Great food and good early bird prices. Needs to be brightened up a little but I guess its like a english pub so thats what they are going for. I had the rigatoni. So yummy! Kids has spaghetti and fish and chips. They enjoyed. Steaks looked great too
