A bowling alley, who would eat at a bowling alley? The answer, most of the locals in Bishop, that's who. Back Alley opens for lunch at 11:30 and although the hamburger is one of the best I have ever had, the other sandwiches such as a Patty Melt, Pastrami, or Beef Dip are equally good. With a full bar in... More

since whiskey creek closed, we go here alot. isn't fancy, but it's good! reccommending it to visitors sounds strange, but go there if you want a steak etc. burgers are also good!

We didn't eat here, but had a few drinks and played two games of bowling. It is a really cute, retro place just in the back of the La Quinta. I would definitely recommend the bowling alley and bar, although can't comment on the food.

Cafe/bar in the back of small bowling alley. Food was average. Service was slow. I would pick a different place if going back to Bishop.

Driving Hwy 395 has over the years become less flavorful when it comes to meals, a few good here and there and nearly none in Bishop, despite the number of eateries there. But for lunch and dinner, slowing down and looking for the bowling alley, hidden behind a motel and Japanese restaurant will reward you with awesome eats. The menu... More

After traveling all day we spent the night in Bishop and looked forward to a good meal in a nice quiet restaurant. Our hotel front desk recommended the bowling alley next door. Being rated fairly high on Trip Advisor we elected to give it a try. Well, it is what it is......a bowling alley. The dining room is in the... More

We came to spend the and after traveling we were very hungry. The person at our hotel mentioned the bowling alley and I was like "are you kidding me?!" She said to try it because they have good steaks. Well I wasn't all that happy but we all went to the Back Alley and it was great. It looks funky... More

This place smells like smoke and old shoes. The food was OK but the service was terrible. Rude and ridiculous.

Because it is also a bowling place it is quite loud in the restaurant. However the food was really good. And the steaks were quite tender. The staff was friendly.
