Fun, fun dinner

Really? We are having dinner in a Bowling alley? My friend said "trust me." We ate at the bar while watching bowlers. Wonderful food, full bar, great prices. How more American can you get than this!

I was directed to the back alley by my hotel's front desk. It was St Paddy's Day and I wanted an Irish inspired meal and drink, they were out of the corned beef so I ended up with tuna instead. Very good seared with veggies and rice. I ate at the bar and had friendly service while I watched tennis... More

So, it was by birthday, I received a lovely dessert. But by far the best was the flat iron steak. Yummo. We did get the hamburger and prime rib. Not on the same night, we couldn't not go there for the 3 days we visited Bishop. And if you bowl, well there's a bonus. The service was good, even on... More

Very great staff, food was cooked to perfection. Full dinner, not just snacks, T-bone steaks, Cod, Shrimp. Salad so fresh I thing the garden was out back. Priced reasonably.

Such a great wholesome meal. We were heading back home from Palm Springs, where we went out to dinner every night and the back alley ranked right up with all of them at half the price. We had ribeye steak and lobster (Yes lobster at a bowling alley) it was one of the best we have ever had. Great food... More

A couple of months ago I head to Bishop to do some fly fishing. I'm sitting in another restaurant in close proximity to a group of about 8 people. I wasn't really listening in so much as that I was so close I couldn't help but hear. I quickly gathered they were locals by their conversation. Here's what I heard... More

My wife and I ate here during a short stay in Bishop over the Christmas holiday. It was recommended to us by our hotel (Creekside Inn) which is right next door. First of all, it's a bowling alley -- it has all the ambience of a bowling alley so if you're not into that, don't bother. Since it had been... More

The fried chicken is one of my favorite meals here. The burgers are thick and juicy. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal at the Back Alley.

This place has another entry in Tripadvisor. It's the same place. This is the place to eat in Bishop. It is way better than it looks. The service is prompt and the food and cocktails are excellent.
