Had a prime rib dinner here and we were a group of 20+. Although very noisy, because they were packed on a Thursday night, the service and food were great. $17.95 for a very generous cut of prime rib including all sides - a real bargain!

I wanted a steak more than anything, and the bowling alley/restaurant was just behind the hotel. It's a popular spot, with lots of sports TV and a bar. Business was hopping and the service was excellent. The salad was iceberg lettuce (I'll pass on that another time). They served the food just the way I ordered it. Much appreciate the... More

Great atmosphere and food at a very reasonable price. The steak I had was $17 and as good as it gets. My wife had the sword fish and loved every bit.

Unless you were a local, were told by a local, or found it by accident, you'd never stumble across this bowling ally restaurant. Ok food, good service

This was my second visit after the first was somewhat disappointing. I ordered the prime rib and it was a generous portion at a great price. The atmosphere is casual and the service was great the second time around.

Always good value for money with good food and service, the prime rib is a must if available. There might be smarter places in town but this appears to be where the locals eat

Best value in town! A hidden jewel for Bishop at the Bowling Alley. Very good food and a quiet little bar as well.

This is a duplicate review since the place is listed twice. After much deliberation on where to eat dinner (and high recommendations from the hotel staff), we chose the Back Alley. While it's true that it is a local favorite, it is not fine dining. When we got there around 5pm, there were a few people drinking at the bar/tables.... More

We are Bishop locals. My wife works at a local bank and I work at a nearby hotel. We eat at the back Alley oftern and I must send 10 tables of people to you per day from the hotel. Tonight, we came to see them for dinner as we have so many times before. We waited patiently to be... More
