Always good value for money with good food and service, the prime rib is a must if available. There might be smarter places in town but this appears to be where the locals eat

Best value in town! A hidden jewel for Bishop at the Bowling Alley. Very good food and a quiet little bar as well.

This is a duplicate review since the place is listed twice. After much deliberation on where to eat dinner (and high recommendations from the hotel staff), we chose the Back Alley. While it's true that it is a local favorite, it is not fine dining. When we got there around 5pm, there were a few people drinking at the bar/tables.... More

We are Bishop locals. My wife works at a local bank and I work at a nearby hotel. We eat at the back Alley oftern and I must send 10 tables of people to you per day from the hotel. Tonight, we came to see them for dinner as we have so many times before. We waited patiently to be... More

If you want to watch football in Bishop-this place is it. The food is about Denny's quality but they have some decent beers available. It's loud because it's IN A BOWLING ALLEY.

We’ve eaten here twice, once in August 2011 and again in August 2013. It’s conveniently located next to the Bishop Creek Inn and suitably casual after being stuck in the car all day. Service, food and prices are all good. Good choice at the end of a long day.

When our motel manager told us that a good place for dinner would be the bowling alley, we laughed, but it turned out to be a great suggestion. The steaks were excellent and the prices reasonable. Highly recommend it.

Right behind the LaQuinta motel building is the Back alley Bowling alley and restaurant/bar. Fun place, great steaks, yes great steaks. Better than Chili's, Applebees or Black Anus. Tom, the owner is very friendly and Tyra the bartender is fun and makes the place great.
