Good espresso, much better than the cafe over the road. Funky seats and decor and a nice chilled atmosphere to get some work done while getting my morning hit of coffee.
We recently visited Bishop and, of course, fell in love with it. I said to someone, "any place that has a Black Sheep Espresso Bar has got to be a a good place to be..." meaning the good food, good people, good vibe is exactly what you want in a coffee shop. The locals love it.
Popped in here on a cold, wet, windy October day. They had pints of Arrogant B_stard ale on at happy hour prices from 4 to 6! Free wifi works well, friendly staff. I didn't order anything to eat, but others in our group were happy with their food. Definitely a pleasant spot to kill an hour or two.
I don't actually like coffee, but was lured in by the lovely looking sofas. I had a nice hot chocolate instead! Free wifi, and generally a lovely place to hang out. We headed onwards to climb Mt Whitney.....
Love this place. Their latte was perfect and made to order. An excellent place to stop in and grab a hot coffee or espresso before hitting the trails or checking out the foliage! I loved that it was in an old storefront row. Park in the back.
Tried Black Sheep for the first time since they re-opened in a new location with an outside patio out back. Decor is casual and clean. Nice surprise was the food offerings, not much choice but really good. I had a homemade chicken tortilla soup and an excellent vegetarian foccacia bread sandwich.
Once again a great Americano. This place makes consistently good coffe. They used to be behind the bookstore, but have now moved up the block.
We stopped in before a long day of climbing and had a great latte and breakfast burrito! I would recommend it to all of my friends!
Black sheep roasts and distributes beans around bishop and really geeks out on their coffee. The baked goods are nice and the natural sunlight makes this a really comfortable place to hang around and read, surf the web, or chat with some friends. The smoothies and focacia sandwiches are also delicious!
Stopped in to try the new place on Main st. Ordered Vanilla Latte and an italian soda. The lady at the counter didn't care about customers being there at all. When she finally paid attention to us (we were pretty much the only one there), she was looking everywhere but at us. They made our drinks and set it on... More
James, I am so bummed and truly sorry you had a bad experience at my shop. We had a lot of new help at the time (NOT ALL OF WHOM ARE STILL WORKING FOR ME) and I think that may have had something to do with your particular experience. If you are ever in Bishop again please let me know... More
