My husband and I just moved here from Michigan. We were low on funds and we both LOVE Mexican food. We couldn't decide if we wanted to go to Amigos or this place. Im glad that we chose el ranchito. I ordered the California burrito and my husband got tamales. My picky eater,(she's 2) will rarely eat from a restaurant,... More

If Amigos (right next door) is full, you've had a long day, can't go elsewhere, don't mind literally hamburger patty enchiladas, can wait for refills or re-order of additional items while the Spanish-speaking-only waitress can put her phone down long enough to help you, you should eat here. Service aside, salsa was a chunky mix of grainy tomatoes, onions and... More

Standard Mexican fare, but plenty of food to fill you. They serve Negra Modelo which is always a mainstay. I enjoy the feeling of dining in in a Mexican cafe with the openness and bustle...

We were in bishop for one day and we stopped for a quick Mexican lunch. The place was like a normal diner, service was friendly and the food was good. Nothing exceptional, would have liked it more spicy, but it was good value for money

This was a good dinner, with good service. Nothing special by Bay Area or LA standards, but a good value meal. No. 2 of our 4 picks for Mexican in Bishop. You could do worse ...

the place to be! very nice place to have a big and tasty breakfast or brunch. I really enjoy the environment, you are fully immersed in america, in this town between yosemite park and th edeath valley. If you are starving, try the burritos breakfast, you will have your chesse refilling for the month i guess. The egg and bacon... More

Great authentic mexican food. yes its a bit high on the price but what restaurant isn't in Bishop. Look at it this way. I paid the same amount somewhere else and was dis-satisfied so I do recommend this place. Salsa is spicy. Also has a bar counter to eat at. Good service as well.

El Ranchito serves the basic Mexican Restuarant menu. But the food is fresh. Whole pinto beans and hand made tamales are some examples of authentic dishes. The portions are huge and a little pricy. So consider splitting something. You'll get a decent portion for a good price. They serve home made horchata - a mexican rice drink and they make... More

Jack's, the most popular breakfast place in town, was over flowing so we headed a block down the street. Found this place with a few locals so we gave it a go. Full breakfast menus, excellent attentive service, reasonably priced. I am going back next time we are there for lunch and/or dinner
