Pretty pricey for what you get. They were out of Peking Duck and had to "make" some. I've fed better dog food in the past !
We live in Bishop, and this is one of our favorite restaurants. The owner is usually in the restaurant greeting customers and making sure things are running properly.
Your average small box of rice, broccoli, orange chicken. You'll be dishing out $85 to feed 2 babies & 2 slim adults..If the prices were reasonable i'd eat there once a week or so. Instead of once every 2 years.
I would say that this would rate as a middle of the road Chinese restaurant. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food seemed to be a little pricy for what we ordered for take out, but it was good. If you are having a Chinese food craving, it will do the trick.

We went here with some trepidation and were pleasantly surprised. The food ranged from average to good. We especially liked the orange chicken, which was just tad spicy in a good way, not as candy-sweet as some restaurants make it, and a vegetable dish that was fine. The people were pleasant, and the service was fast and efficient, even during... More
We've been to this restaurant a few times now over the years, and it really depends on what you order. We have had some dishes that were very bland, but finally discovered that the 'Sesame Chicken' and especially the 'Orange Flavored Beef' are incredibly delicious- so that is what we order every time now! The decor is nice, the servers... More
On the way home from a fishing trip, a friend and I were passing through Bishop, California. We were looking for a nice lunch place and my friend likes Chinese food. I reluctantly agreed to try the Imperial gourmet on main street. Boy, was I surprised! I was looking for a vegetarian meal and the restaurant served a wonderful vegetable... More
