My husband and I ate here while passing through for the night. WOW!! So good, just good all American food. They serve breakfast all day. My husband had a bacon and cheddar omlett with rye toast and hash browns which he declared excellent. I had the chili with beans, and it was some of the meatiest chili and most flavorful... More

You would think that after 63 years in business, Jack's would know how to make mashed potatoes. Alas, they don't. Ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. The spuds were stiff and gummy. The gravy was nearly inedible. Salads had brown pieces of lettuce in them. Menu is huge, the staff friendly, and I suppose this place fills a need. Not... More

We used to go to Jack's a lot, especially decades ago, when Jack's was an all night waffle shop. Over the years, Jack's has become popular with the LA ski crowd and Italian tourists for whom eating dinner before 8:30pm is anathema. After some pretty bad service in 2013, we gave Jack's two more tries. The first time was fine:... More

Huevos Rancheros for my first meal back from a 25 day adventure on the John Muir Trail. It was so good I almost ordered another! Big portions, great service and reasonable prices. I'll be back!

We went for dinner and were not disappointed. My wife took a soup to start with which was delicious and chicken afterwards, very tasty. I had a bacon cheeseburguer, the smoked bacon was crunchy, the best I ever had. A lemon pie made it perfect. Price very reasonable. Staff super friendly. Really recommended!!

We stopped at Jack's by chance having just been trying to get served at an overcrowded Holy Smoke Texas BBQ. Unless you must have Texas BBQ, you should go to Jack's instead. We found very impressive service at Jacks, from the time we were seated until we left, the entire staff seemed to work as a team, something I've rarely... More

We had a great breakfast here. Loads of selection and good home made feel. Staff very friendly and quick. Why would anybody go to a fast food restaurant? Recommended!

We spent the night in Bishop on our road trip, after Las Vegas and Death Valley. Vegas was Vegas, factory food etc. Furness Creek, Death Valley was awful food, so when our receptionist at the Motel suggested Jack's we tried it. The food was really good, big portions and the service was great too. There seemed to be lots of... More
