Great menu and if the right cooks are on, the burgers are decent. Most of the old timers are gone now, apparently the cooks too, this time the service was near perfect and the food came out as ordered. Prices have climbed, 5 bucks for one little waffle is too much, even for a good one like these. They also... More

Every time I go through Bishop I make a stop here. Always consistent hearty portions. On my last trip we picked up 3 pies fro Thanksgiving. Lemon, Chocolate and Apple, the lemon was a little light and tart, the chocolate was rich and yummy and the apple had an incredible crust, heated up with vanilla ice cream.

We have stopped her for years for breakfast on out way through town, breakfast is always good. I always get a loaf of the multi great bread to take with me. However this time we went through in the evening and assumed it would be just as good - wrong. It was terrible. Bad coffee shop food at best. We... More

I've had breakfast at Jack's so I know a standard breakfast is pretty good. They had a special breakfast the last time we went in so we ordered it. Never again. We will go back but will stick to what they do best.

This place is the bomb! Lots of food, great service, great food at an average price. As fishermen, we love the giant stuffed trout lining the walls with placards telling about their record status. I don't know her name but the tall blonde waitress the sweetness things since apple pie.

The best kept secret. In the sierra's is the delicious and reasonable priced food at Jack's. This is where the locals go for "home cooked" meal. On turkey special night get there early for there are times that they are sold out and rightly so, everything on the special along with many of the other meals have that great home... More

Jacks is a Bishop tradition, however it hasn't worked for me. A week ago my three children and I decided to give it another try for breakfast. Their beeper system was efficent and our waitress was prompt. However, my pie crust was tough and the chocolate cream filling was gritty. My childrens sausage and bacon were fatty, but their eggs... Nothing special here, just average tasting food with a high price. But not much to choose from in this area.

We stayed just up the road and our hotel receptionist recommended Jacks as a good place to eat, It was quite busy and so we had to wait outside with our "bleeper" thing waiting for a table to become available. After a short wait we were invited in and seated at a table near the window. The waitress was efficient... More

Average standard breakfast fare. Perfectly suitable. Interesting decor depicting older times in California.
