Find dining with ghosts!

The ambiance and interior decor of this place is a throw back to the turn of the century but with class. The food was very good and drinks not too bad either. I recommend the steak.

Historic restaurant, great story and a ghost. Ask the staff. Super large restaurant so little wait and plenty of parking in lot. Family and date friendly. Salad bar was mediocre (iceberg lettuce and very basic selections - if an awesome salad bar is your thing go elsewhere). Plenty of fish and steak options. Dinner specials were bountiful and great. Had... More

Our hotel recommended we try this place and told us it had a ghost. I think he stole our money and a fork. It was really NOT amazing. Our main courses were average. The salad bar was mediocre, nothing special at all. Our sides of rice were terrible. The only good part were the desserts but I suspect that they... More

Unfortunately, this was a super expensive dinner for basically soup and salad. It is apparent people are paying for the "ghost George". While the soups were good- the salad bar was iceberg lettuce with some cabbage thrown in. A small selection of other veggies to throw in. Also, $12 kids meals are ridiculous and the portion was super small. The... More

Went there tonight and our party of four had the 8oz prime rib.. We were a little surprised that the prices were higher than what the menu said that I had looked up on the Internet (must of been an old price menu). We did think it was higher than we were accustomed to but after we ate, the salad... More

We were there for dinner on a Saturday evening in June. It was busy, and the average age of the customers was around 60 years (younger than me, btw). It's a so-called "traditional American" place; rather dark inside, dim lighting, wood panelling everywhere. The menu was unexciting to say the least -- what I would call "pub food" in the... More

This restaurant is part of the history of Big Bear. A very friendly place as a visitor, but also used by the locals. Their motto is "every hour is cocktail hour" and it is true. Start your visit in the bar and share a cocktail with a local then drift into the restaurant. The menu has under $20.00 values that... More

My husband and I were celebrating our birthdays, which are one day apart. We split a Prime Rib and Lobster dinner and had Salad Bar with it. The dinner was delicious and just the right amount of food. I do not know our server's name but she was very sweet and provided excellent service. When she found out we were... More

This classic log cabin cozy place should please everyone on your party. Has a nice bar, upstairs dining for busy nights, nice booths and table beside the fireplace. The food is not gourmet, but is tasty and a good value. Service was friendly and excellent. We will be back. Nice big parking lot and centrally located.

This restaurant definitely has the Big Bear look. I had the $20 prime rib special which included a 6 oz chunk of meat (I thought it looked bigger than 6 oz), the salad bar and soup. You may request either creamy horse radish or regular if you want the extra punch. It also comes with a baked potato and the... More
