The food is good...just not great

We were excited to eat here, having had it recommended to us by several people. I ordered the New York strip and a baked potato. The steak was good but somewhat overcooked for a medium rare (very little pink). My husband had the filet, and did not finish it because of the blandness. Our son... read more

One of our favorites, but, go early, especially on weekends. Reservations recommended. Lorraine and Shawn are the best bartenders in town, great martini's and they will always remember you and what you normally order. The restaurent offers early bird specials and has great steak, scallops, and wonderful crab legs. Not that hungry, then order the salad bar. Not huge, but,... More

The service at this restaurant was amazing. My daughter was suffering from a cough due to the cold dry air and one of the ladies immediately offered Her some honey, very nice gesture. The food however was just okay overall. You can start your meal by visiting the salad and soup bar. The salad was very fresh and had a... More

If you like an old school steak house this one's for you. The service was very good, the cocktails and wine list were impressive and the steaks were big, juicy and delicious. The hearty home made soups and classic salad bar completed the meal. The kids menu includes prime rib and shrimp, which my picky eaters loved. We had a... More

I have to admit I haven't been to many places here but this is a winner. Our second visit and as good as any place we've ever been. Great food, great service, great value. What more could you ask for?

Great ambiance, just the kind of place you want to find when visiting Big Bear. The food Salmon and Primve Rib was delicious and the staff was very attentive and friendly.

We've eaten two sumptuous meals there this week while enjoying our week in Big Bear. Monday I enjoyed the $19.95 prime rib dinner. They prepared it blackened and was it delicious! My wife had the salmon and enjoyed that too. All meals come with the soup and salid bar and the restaurant has a certain ambience from the fifties. Christmas... More

We went for prime rib and found it unexpectedly excellent. The 12 ounce dinner was one of the best prime rib dinners I have ever had (and I've had a lot of them all over the country). Perfectly prepared with a side of baked potato and a salad from the salad bar. A cozy decor adds to the warmth of... More

Loved the atmosphere, because it's like a time warp in here. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful and nice, -from the hostess on the phone to our server. Food was really good. I had the Mahi Mahi. My friends enjoyed the prime rib. Nice dinner.
