My favorite pizza in the whole world, is their pesto primo, accompanied by the house salad with grated cheese on top, EXTRA house(italian) dressing and get the garlic cheese bread, and a caraffe of chianti.... Big Bear is not known for its restaurants, so my expectations have never been high. Maggios is the exception to the rule. The pizza is fantastic and the pasta is very good. The atmosphere is casual, but it is Big Bear. Expect to wait on Friday or Saturday, but the long line must say something about the restaurant. Our house... More

We got a pizza to go on a very busy night. Lots of people smiling, including the staff. Fun atmosphere, friendly and welcoming. We will come back to dine in soon !

A very unassuming place with a more than casual family atmosphere with some very, very good pizza and excellent service. They have other food, I know that, but when you stumble across a good pizza in a world covered with Pizza Huts and Dominoes, well you should enjoy it while you have the chance. You can eat inside, outside, take... More

We ate here for dinner and we weren't very impressed. First off, it's very casual so don't expect a nice atmosphere. You order up front and it's self serve for soda/tea/coffee. My husband got the chicken fettucini alfredo and I ordered chicken parmesan. My husband's meal was pretty bad. The alfredo tasted like it was from a jar and the... More

We are in Big Bear at Least once a month & look forward to our Pizza & Salad night at Maggio's! It feels good to give your money to a restaurant that enjoys being polite! Excellent Calzone. They are expanding into shop next door to allow for more dine-in seating. Very reasonably priced.

Great little Italian restaurant! The calzone's were fantastic! We stayed in Big Bear for four days and ate here twice. Very inexpensive and kid friendly. We had salads, pasta and calzone's. Delicious!
