Best curry we've found in us

We visited Big Bear for a short break and spotted this restaurant and thought we'd give it a go. We were not disappointed. We're Brits, we know our curry, and this place was spot on. We had a great lunch here. The Himalayan cuisine looks similar to Indian at first glance, but happiness/surprisingly, the spices are different and complex. I ordered the dumplings, MOMs, which look like potstickers but arebursting with different flaavors and come with a dipping sauce that is crazy good. Perfect lunch spot for when you are hungry and have a hankering... More

We stopped in for lunch and the food was amazing! We are both vegetarian and had the vegetarian lunch which included our choice of veggie dish! I had the veggie korma which was exceptional and my friend had the spinach paneer which was also very good. The portions were great and lunch came with salad, rice, lentils, another veggie dish... This place was very nice, clean, and the food was good. And the chicken tikka masala was tasty, however the meat combo entrée was overcooked, and dry. not much to say, it was pretty average, But not disappointing.

We stumbled upon this Shangri la-no pun, intended at lunch time. We had the chicken garlic Sekuwa- BBQ but moist chicken meat -it was infused with much garlic and flavor and Chicken Masala rich and aromatic-Both lunch specials were served on a traditional indian thali (steel plate, with separate bowls) and were accompanied with rice, green salad (mint dressing), yellow... Have never eaten Napaleese/Indian food... Walked by downtown the night before and was curious as it was packed! Made reservation and chuckled as the ending to the phone call was "you will need to wait 10-15 min for your table", so I asked myself. Why make a reservation then?? Perplexed we went in promptly at 7:30 and sure enough waited... More

Myself and family love Indian food. We eat it quite often at home, but find when we go to the USA on holiday, that Indian restaurants are pretty few and far between... We spotted this one by chance when we were staying in the area, and decided that after all the burgers and fries we had eaten over the previous... More

We stop by at the restaurant for a romantic dinner. The restaurant seems very nice and the food was great. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We had couple of questions regarding food and we were simply satisfied with the answers. We asked for very spicy food but we still didn't get that so we asked for some chili... More

We started going to the Himalayan over 4 years ago, before we moved to the area. My husband didn't think he liked "Indian" food but tried it because we were attending a birthday party. Himalayan changed his mind. We have taken countless friends who were fans of Nepalese and Indian food as well as those who weren't sure and every... More

I sat out on the patio with my dog and, while the service was so-so (they seemed to have forgotten I was out there in the beginning), the food was AMAZING! I had chicken vindaloo and garlic naan, and both were amazing. The service improved after they realized I was out there. The prices were also VERY reasonable. I would... More
