We had taken TOGO, the dishes were of small quantity and the quality was very poor. As an Indian I could make out the taste of the chicken tikka and the vindaloo and spinach chicken which were niether anywhere Indian cuisine and tasteless.. the spinach was apparently not cleaned at all so we had to throw out the dish as... But very close. The food was fresh and tasty and the staff friendly and helpful. The selection of dishes is extensive - even handmade moms. Very nice addition to the typical Big Bear cuisine. Good for take out, too.

My husband is a picky eater and I am one who loves to try new foods and we both enjoyed our meal here tremendously. The food was so flavorful and for my lamb shank, i asked for it to be spicy and it was PERFECT. will definitely return.

We enjoyed finding this little place in the heart of Big Bear Village. The food was plentiful with enough to have leftovers. The staff was friendly. It wasn't overcrowded so we had a nice quiet meal and weren't rushed.A little pricey but totally the norm for that type of food.

We had heard rave reviews of this place and were really hopeful when we went in. Sorry, but our experience did not lie up to 5 stars or #1 rating. Food was average, service difficult because not one waiter had command of english and service was scanty. Maybe we just hit an off day.

Although we are no experts, and rarely eat Indian food, my husband and I decided to give the Himalayan Restaurant a try. We found the food to be unique and quite tasty. We have seen some reviews that this is not authentic Indian food, but we were more concerned about the taste rather than the authenticity. Since we did not... More

If you enjoy Indian food, you will love this place. I eat at Indian restaurants about once a week in the Los Angeles area, and this is on a par with the best. We had the garbanzo bean dish and an order of the baby chicken tikka. They were both excellent and there was a lot of chicken. The side... More

This is the only Indian restaurant in the Big Bear region and unless you're desperate for Indian food, avoid this place at all costs. I have eaten at Indian restaurants all over the country and throughout India and this is not good Indian food (you'll realize how bad it is once you eat at another Indian restaurant with halfway decent... This is the beat food in town, not just Indian food but any food. Service is good, they even have free delivery within a 3 mile radius.
