Came here for a few drinks before dinner on a quiet Friday night. Overall? Meh. It could be that it was just really early, but hardly anyone was there. We ordered beers at the bar and then played a game of pool. Pool equipment wasn't in great shape and they didn't have a rest to reach. Chad's didn't do anything... More

Hi Alyssa- Thanks for the feedback. Not sure what time you were there but Friday nights around dinnertime is usually the "calm before the storm" for us. Most people come to Chad's for the DJ and live band on Friday and Saturday nights after dinner (till about 1:30am). November is also kind of an in-between season for us in Big... More

We had been on 6 week ride to many states from LA to Sth Dakota, and our last few nights we spent at Big Bear Lake.We were staying at a resort next to Chad's and decided to have late afternoon drinks at this bar.OMG entered this great bar to music and what appeared to be a huge party happening. To my surprise... There are so many dining choices in Big Bear I would suggest avoiding Chad's Place. Prices were fair, but the service was poor and the outdoor patio was very dirty. The food was okay but nothing special. I will not go there again.

We went to the new location and was surprised at how accommodating and friendly the help was. As compared to other places, they seem to really appreciate your business and strive hard to make your visit fun. The food was great. The chef himself came out just to see how we liked the burgers. The bartender was extremely nice to... More

Chad's has long been a staple of the Village in Big Bear and they recently moved to the old Bank of America building. It was amazing that it still looked the same inside and that's because they took everything with them, the bar, the pool tables, the furniture, the decorating and set it up like a clone of the old... The new location is great, the staff was friendly, and the beer was cold. The owner came around with some deep fried pickles he was thinking about putting on the menu, they were alright, but if he want to make them a hit he needs to come up with a beer batter.

Met my wife of over 30 years there and we still go back several times a year. Anytime we are in So. Calif. and have the time we run up to Big Bear and have a drink in Chad's Place. Nothing like setting and looking out the window at all the people walking along shopping.

Great local hangout for games and dancing. Drink prices are moderate. Always fun. Will come back when in town.

My gf and I needed to find a good place to watch the Eurocup last weekend and found Chad's Place conveniently in the middle of the Village at Big Bear Lake. I asked the bartender if he would put the game on in advance and he was more than accommodating. Depending on your tolerance for mountain town bar atmosphere, this... More
