We went here based on reviews. We arrived just after lunch time but there were diners at some of the tables and their food looked awesome. I ordered a meatball sub and my wife ordered 1/2 pastrami sandwich and salad. The young man who took our order was very friendly ans assured me the meatball sub would be good. A... More

We stopped here after a trip to the Alpine Zoo and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of food choices. We ordered a Ruben, a burger and chili cheese fries. Everything was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious place for lunch in the Big Bear Area.

We have been here many times and have never been disappointed. Always have had a sub, but saw a hamburger on this trip and it looked great, the person eating said it was very good, and so big. she couldn't eat but half, next time I will be ordering one of those. They also have a good choice of drinks,... More

We went on a recommendation from a frequent visitor. He should have warned us of the size because we both ordered a sandwich. I had the TAB (turkey, avocado, bacon) while my husband had the daily special Sausalito Turkey. I had ordered Swiss on mine but they forgot it. They handed me two slices on deli paper with a "sorry".... More

The name of the Deli is incorrect!! It is Grizzly's "BEAR" Belly Deli not "BEER"!!! We have spent July and August in Big Bear Lake. Based on a local's recommendation we went to the Deli for lunch. Our sandwich was wonderful. Since then we have had 15 more sandwiches, 6 different ones, there or took them with us. My husband... More

My husband and I were in Big Bear for the weekend and stopped by this place after reading about it on Trip Advisor. We have literally NEVER experienced such rudeness, and we live in Southern California so that's saying a lot. We called before we got there just to verify they were open since it was a Sunday. The girl... More

Just had lunch here. Good quality meats & cheese. Not as big a sandwich as I thought they'd be based on prior reviews. Sides are extra - fries were ok.

It's actually BEAR Belly Deli, not BEER. The food is very good--high quality ingredients which complement each other. My husband had a Salsalito Turkey sandwich and I had a custom grilled ham sandwich. Very tasty. Also, the coleslaw wasn't too sweet so I was happy with that. Seating is limited and although it's a clean, fairly comfortable place, it doesn't... More

Stopped here after a hike and enjoyed great sandwiches and yummy potato salad. The staff was very nice and checked in on us during our lunch. The small eating area was very clean and they have tables outside on the patio and water for our pups! A great place that we'd definitely visit again.

This is a deli (lunch only) located in the Moonridge area of Big Bear Lake. It is not cheap, but the sandwiches are really large. They have their specialities, including a "build your own sandwich), burgers, salads and a "little eaters" menu. Summer or winter, this is an excellent casual lunch choice. They are pet friendly.
