Mountain Brew Pub at it's Best

On our last trip to Big Bear we tried a more trendy brew pub in the village and it was okay. However, this time we went to the Big Bear Mountain Brewery located in a little yellow building that was built around 1925 originally for the Masons. The pub has a very local feel with a lot of... read more

The food and the tangerine wheat beer is outstanding. I highly recommend this place. Service is great. Right in the middle of town.

This is a great place to relax. It's pretty small, but the beer is pretty good. You can see the brewing process through the windows inside, though honestly there isn't much to see. I recommend starting with the tasting flight and then deciding from there what you want. The food is really good. Mostly pub style food, but there are... More

I went here for brunch with a group of friends. Beer cheese fries were the bomb.com!! At first they looked boring but once we had a few bites.. heavenly creamy deliciousness. The Wisper Pine IPA was pretty good. My friend got the veggie pizza which was chock full of veggies and white cheese with a drizzle of balsamic. YUM. We... More

After 4hrs of snowboarding this was the perfect place to go. The staff was attentive, and the service was quick. The place is SMALL, and it was almost to capacity when we arrived but we got lucky and got an inside table. the beer was delicious and on par with other craft and micro breweries /restaurants that we've visited. My... More

We discovered this little hideaway on our Christmas vacation trip to Big Bear. It was one of the few places open at 8:50pm. They were closing in 10 minutes but let us order a couple beers with our promise to leave as soon as they were ready to close. That gave us 30 minutes to enjoy some actual craft beer... More

This is a small place on the outskirts of Big Bear Lake. They have about a dozen beers on tap that are locally brewed. I tried a flight and thought the beer wasn't too bad, its not the best I've ever had but still a much better choice the Coors or Bud lite. The food, on the other hand, we... More

This is definitely worth a visit, especially over the new brewery in town. This place is much more welcoming and friendly. The beers are good and so are the prices. The guy behind the bar was chatting to us and made us feel welcome.

We ordered two flights to share. For $10 you get six 4 oz beers. We thought they were better than the options at Big Bear Lake Brewing company. Pretty small, though, so can be hard to get a table if it is the weekend.

I like to check out breweries, and I enjoyed this one. It is small, and has some charm. They don't do the full ferment, but they do make tasty beer. The Tangerine brew was the best. The Red was a little watery. I had a plate of nachos. It was ok. Salsa was mush.
