Good food, but watch the hours!

Madlons is a cute little restaurant off the beaten path of Big Bear. They have nice little touches like the Amuse Bouche and palette cleansing sorbet and the jalapeno soup is amazing! The meat was a tad tough but the flavoring was great. We liked it so much that we went for dinner and were... read more

We had an amazing French Brunch of very Berry petite pancakes, Smoked Salmon Hash, Crabcake Benedict, Banana Fosters waffle and Ham, Cheddar Chive with Sundried tomato waffle. Cordon Bleu Chefs accompanied by French music playing in the background made a perfect Valentine Day meal

Great dinner, not very crowded. A little on the outskirts but well worth the drive. Ask for the nightly chefs special.

Ok, we had breakfast, it was a nice break from the more rustic experience in Big Bear. The gourmet waffles and pancakes are an amazing value and taste like something you would get in New York or Paris, definitely a few steps above the tourist trap restaurants you otherwise find in town. The service was friendly, the place was clean... More

Gosh how I LOVE Madlon's. We have a cabin up in Big Bear and I stop in here for breakfast every time we go up there. Their all-you-can-eat in any-combination-you-can-think-of waffle menu is the best. That's right: one set price, all the FRESH and fantastic waffles you want. Start with a raspberry white chocolate one (I always do), then maybe... More

Madlon's offers both mid-week and 'early bird' dining with 5-6 main courses from which each dinner may select. Appetizer, soup or salad, house wine, and dessert are included. Excellent meals at a very reasonable price. The regular menu, higher priced, is also supplemented with specials. The husband/wife owners and chefs are both Cordon Bleu graduates. Steak and potatoes I can... More

Let me preface this review by saying that the manager did try her best to remedy what was a disaster of a breakfast. My group of girlfriends ate here last year, and we decided to return because we previously enjoyed the food. The restaurant was only 1/3 full on Sunday morning. We arrived around 10:30, hungry, and were seated. Let... More

For our family of five on vacation celebrating an anniversary and a birthday there was no question of where to dine. I called to make a reservation. I was asked if anyone in my party had special dietary needs. I said yes. When we arrived we were promptly seated by the owner Rob Orr. We were all brought water to... More

My husband and I were delighted to see a French restaurant close to our lodging, so we made reservations for dinner. The service was slow. I believe the owners need to hire more assistance even during the low season. My husband ordered the Filet which arrived smothered in a mushroom sauce. The steak was average for the $45 price- not...
