Had dinner with our god-daughter from New York - she knows L.A. restaurants better than we do. Thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu, 7 courses, each one different and creative. Two to mention, the salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, and SORBET, and the dessert, vanilla ice cream with "chocolate soup". From the outside the restaurant is easy to miss and once there,... More

I went to this classy yet comfortable Beverly Hills gem for my birthday in September. The food is to die for, and the intimate ambiance is just my style. Each dish was beautifully presented and had the perfect combination of savory and sweet flavors. My friends and I decided to order a couple different items and we shared (and enjoyed)... More

At first glance, you might not notice it, or not even give it a chance. It is super tiny, but give it a try, because this restaurant is so amazing! The service was very friendly and they timed all the entrees perfectly. We went with 4 people on a Saturday night and the only menu choice offered is a 7-course... More

My wife and I had dinner here. It is a small but busy restaurant. We had the tasting menu with a couple substitutions. From beginning to end, the food was excellent. We started with warm bread with marinated olives. Each course was wonderful - bstilla, lamb, beef. At the end, we were stuffed. But, if you go, save room for... More

My wife and I were searching for an anniversary alternative to the usual stuffy, snobbish or self-consciously hip L.A. restaurant, and quite by chance came upon some reviews for Tagine in Beverly Hills. We realized we were taking a chance, but suffice it to say that the risk was rewarded beyond all expectations. If you haven't been here before it's... More

My sister recommended this restaurant to me, so I decided to check it out one Saturday night with a friend (a total foodie). The restaurant is extremely small but wonderfully decorated - I loved it from the moment I walked in. When we sat down, the waiter informed us that they were serving a fixed menu only that evening ($45... More

Two tablespoons of cous-cous, some pillows and a few candles does not a Moroccan restaurant make. We followed the other reviewers recommendation and went with the tasting menu. $130 later (no alcohol this time), we left totally confused. Courses included hummus platter, salad, shrimp, chicken/egg dish, salmon, steak and lamb. I guess if you are looking for a bland carnivore... More

We celebrated my wife's 30th birthday at Tagine. From the moment we walked in, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. It was a slow night, so perhaps that contributed to the personal attention. The restaurant is quite small (only 50 seats or so) and intimate. The seating was comfortable (mostly benches along the side of the restaurant with cushioned... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
