Great food but tries a bit too hard to be à la mode

In contrast to my normal reviews I'll cover the "negatives" first. CUT has most of the clichés of the contemporary restaurant - stark white walls and ceiling, open kitchen, minimalist decor with light wooden tables, terribly attractive young waiters in black, plus in this case a rather curious... read more

We had the Wagu and it was amazing! Top notch restaurant with top notch service. Located in the Beverly Wilshire, this place was a wonderful spot to have dinner before walking over to Rodeo Drive.

Let me start by saying service was great. Very attentive and informative. But that was the only upside to our dining experience. It is a little loud with decor being somewhat minimalistic. Our dining chairs were similar to office chairs. We ordered the American Waygu ribeye and my husband ordered the sirloin. They charr the outside but with such a... More

In contrast to my normal reviews I'll cover the "negatives" first. CUT has most of the clichés of the contemporary restaurant - stark white walls and ceiling, open kitchen, minimalist decor with light wooden tables, terribly attractive young waiters in black, plus in this case a rather curious addition of office swivel chairs at some tables. Amazing Wagyu options, expensive but SOOOOO worth every penny…best steak ever…..and impeccable service, great apps and sides…and killer chocolate soufflé….used to be a Maestro's guy but have a new steak home if I want the best steak…8 oz American Wagyu is $115 but still love Maestro's!

We went to Cut for a client dinner and, to start with, their bread was fabulous. They had these flaky, buttery pastry puffs that were simply delicious. Staying on bread for a moment, they served these goat cheese jalapeño rolls that they just added to the menu... Yes, please! I tried a little bit of my business partner's blue crab... More

CUT is a wonderful experience. I was there with clients from Japan recently and we had an absolutely terrific experience - ranging from the service to the food. We had several appetizers - not to be missed is the Bone Marrow Flan. For main entree we had everything from American Wagyu to Swordfish. As for desserts do not hesitate with... More

Excellent food by renowned chef Wolfgang puck. The menu and choice was superb and of course the meat quality was exceptional. Very trendy and a great restaurant.

Unbelievable. Very expensive but well worth it. Honestly, you never know what you're going to get - but this is the perfect place if you want a hip, romantic vibe with great food (especially if you love steaks).

OK, it was a special treat meal and we went overboard this time, with one starter, a steak each, two sides, dessert and $50 corkage - about $350 including tip. OMG. Don't need to do that again. The starter of Wagyu was so disappointing - that's actually why we went here - because it was so phenomenal when I had... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
