If you are a true sushi afficianado and want the best quality fish, without ruining it with complicated rolls of multiple flavours, then this is for you. Just wonderful fresh fish, simply prepared and nicely served. Limited menu of hot dishes but if you really appreciate good sushi, this is your place.

I was walking by and I saw it full of Japanese costumers. Normally to see nationals heating in a restaurant is a good indication of good food and I was right. The sushi was excellent and prepared a little different then other places. They have Toro (fatty Tuna) which is rare to find and they are very quick and attentive.... More

The sushi here is fantastic, really one of the very best in the area. If you are a true aficionado, I strongly suggest you try it. They pride themselves on authenticity, so that can come off a little gruff or even food-snobbish. There is also a bit of a language barrier that can be misinterpreted. If you need glamour with... I personally enjoy the grumpyness of the owner and head chef, as its really a facade which he drops pretty quickly once you know him better. A beer or two help as well. The usual sashimi followed by sushi proceedings are largely predictable, which in this case is a good thing. High quality fish - better than more expensive options... More

Typically when you walk into a restaurant the Hostess will welcome you and find you a table. Strangely, the Hostess/Server at Sushi Sushi was hesitant and instead tried to dissuade us by presenting a menu and the verbal disclaimer "No California roll here. Very traditional Sushi." Perhaps it was the shell shocked look on our faces, or just the awkward... More

Be prepared for one of the best sushi experiences in LA! Sit at the bar and order oomakase (chef's choice). I always order the medium size since I cannot eat that much. Do not ask for a bowl of rice - you will never get it. Each order of sushi is one piece - not two. You are forewarned! Everything... More

I had driven by Sushi Sushi many times, but it's located on a quiet end of South Beverly Drive and there was nothing flashy about the restaurant or location. Nonetheless, one day I decided to stop in for lunch and was amazed at how good the sushi was. It wasn't just good, it was great. I made a note to... More

You want sushi this wild be the place to go. Don't expect teriyaki etc on the menu (they did have grilled fish). Very fresh fare and excellent made to order sushi. Not cheap 85USD for one adult, two kids, four drinks and a few courses. Authentic sushi lovers will like.

Sushi Sushi is as good as it gets when it comes to traditional Japanese sushi and Japanese service. The space is small and well decorated, in an understated sort of way. The fish is as fresh as can be. They serve one piece of fish per order, which allows you to order more variety. Prices are fairly high, but in... More

You can't wrong with omakase! Let the sushi chef surprise you. He knows what he's doing.
