Gotta love that Garlic!

Whenver I am in LA I make a point to stop at the Stinking Rose. I absolutely love garlic and they do a great job of making delicious cusine that is layered in garlic flavors. After two visists I have tried the Garlic Prime Rib and most recently the filet mignon. I also sampled the Garlic Gnochi... read more

My husband and I took my family to The Stinking Rose on a Saturday evening. It was our second visit to the Beverly Hills location. We had reservations and were promptly seated. The food was excellent once again. We shared the popcorn calamari and sizzling platter of shrimp, mussels, and crab for appetizers. I had the seafood stew in a... More

This is a restaurant for garlic lovers. I think every dish is made with lots of garlic. We started with an appetizer of roasted garlic which we sopped our bread in, delicious ! Some of the entrees were 40 clove garlic chicken, short ribs, shrimp. All were excellent. We were waited on promptly and wait staff was very friendly and... More

Came here with my girlfriend on Friday the 13th and had reservation for 6:30 PM. We arrived right on time and were promptly seated down in the Dracula's room, which was an awesome place to have dinner. I would recommend bringing a light long-sleeve or something as the room was a little bit cold. Our server Ivette was very nice... More

My roommate and I have a tradition of celebrating Valentine's Day together...Last year we treated ourselves to Roscoes Chicken and Waffles (both our first times) and watched the 90's movie "Now and Than" This year we decided to rent bikes in Santa Monica and go to the Stinking Rose... Service was great, food was delicious, and conversation was top notch.... More

Ok, so when you pull up there's valet parking- there is no sign with the price- it's $5. The Louisiana shrimp appetizer is absolutely to die for. There were 12 of us at the table and the medium size wasn't enough- everyone wanted more. Be sure to dip the bread in the sauce- you'll thank me later. The garlic french... More

Know before you go: I went on a Saturday. Even though I had made a reservation, we still had to wait 45 minutes before we were seated!! Seems like waiting 20-45 min even if you have a reservation is the norm over there....Valet parking in $5.50 CASH. Other than that, I had a great experience. The server was friendly and... More

During our week long vacation trip in the West Coast this was one dinner which finished at blink of an eye – because the food was so awesome and we had so much fun. We were 2 couples, ordered 1 bottle of white wine, 1 big garlic mussels, one steak, one big Dungeness crab, one chicken and some other snacks.... More

If you like garlic, you'll love The Stinking Rose. But not too worry the garlic does not overpower you or the restaurant atmosphere. We also enjoyed spending time at the piano bar in the bar after dinner with some great entertainment.

I totally came here during the wrong time...during a hangover. I get a bad reaction with garlic only while hungover. I was told by the server there were mainly 2 items that can be served without garlic. Great... So my friends wanted to try this place out, and so we came here for a friend's birthday. We were seated in... More

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
