Delectable !

The food was amazing. All courses... though seaweed salad was a little too "authentic" (read tasted like swimming in the sea withe mouth open.) Totally pleased with the variety... tempura crab, sashimi, sushi, and rolls.

I can't imagine better food or better service than they have at Matsuhisa. The halibut tiradito is one of the best dishes I have ever tasted anywhere and the chefs are really good at tailoring the food to guest taste. Also try the rock shrimp creamy spicy, the tuna salad, the spider roll, the sushi "new style" and the toro... More

Really enjoyed this sushi restaurant. Some can be a little daunting but the simple surroundings and friendly and helpful staff made this a great culinary experience.

I had heard about Masuhisa (of Nobu fame) for ages. Finally got a chance to have lunch here. Delicious. Both the traditional sushi and sashimi dishes and the creations are amazing. The fish is fresh, the preparation is perfect. The service is friendly and prompt. I had the most delicious heart of palm and dry miso salad. Probably one of... More

This might be the best of matsuhisa's empire . It Is intimate and non pretentious . The food is of its usual excellent reliable standard. Star gazing almost guaranteed -spotted Jason Stantham and his model girlfriend . Our waiter entertained us with list of celebrities he served that week and it's a long list ...... . The price is very... More

I love the shaved ice here!!! I ALWAYS get the greentea, but their coffee one is also really good. The waiters and waitresses are really friendly. Sometimes I ask for so much extra (plain) shaved ice I feel kind of embarrassed... But they always gave me exactly what I wanted. I'd come here just for their desserts!

This is Nobu's historical location from what I learned. Our party of six had many dishes that were presented beautifully and shared among us. There simply was not room for the platters. We were careful to order menu items in phases. The slivered artichoke was my absolute favorite. There is artistry here in every dish. Warm sake was very nice... More

I went solo on a Saturday night. Yes, I know. I sat at the sushi bar next to David and Victoria Beckham and their two sons. I only mention this to give you an idea of the clientele. The owner, Nobu was there. He kept asking while I waited if I knew it was a sushi bar when I requested... More

My dear friend treated 4 of us GFs to this famous sushi restaurant on my first day visit in LA. We had high expectations since they charged an arm and a leg. We ordered a variety of hand rolls, cold and hot dishes; unfortunately the sauce was overpowering and drowned the fresh fish. The best thing was the Nobu Sake,... More

This was the first Japanese restaurant I ever ate in back in the late 1980's. 30 years later its still pretty good.

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
