Lawrys for prime rib in Beverly Hills is as iconic as Mt. Rushmore or the Empire State Building. However, that doesn't make it a great restaurant. It's decent at best. We had a decent prime rib for the four of us and the service was just decent. Being a self proclaimed foodie, I've had better prime at the Pacific Dining... More

When your table is ready, it's announced over a public address system !! not a very classy way of being informed ! The website says : dress casual business ! Shorts , baseball caps , are not casual business attire ! Atmosphere in dining area is like a cafeteria , no background music, dreary lighting , no candle on tables... More

This is a special occasion restaurant that still delivers on the promise: excellent food, service, presentation, as ambience. Worth the high price.

My husband and I went for dinner right after landing in LA. The hotel manager suggested this establishment; we were looking to celebrate our safe journey from Toronto. From the potato chip and meatball appetizers while we were waiting to be seated (we were there early), to the main course of prime rib through the traditional trifle dessert, everything was... More

We were seated 30 minutes past our reservation time. The place smells a little musty, but it adds to the historic feel. We liked the spinning salad, and the bread. The prime rib was topnotch. The lobster tail unfortunately was rubbery and overcooked. Good icecream and cake for dessert.

After considering numerous restaurants in the Beverly Hills and the West Hollywood area, I settled on Lawry's. There were seven of us and I made reservations for 7:00 PM. Being the host, I wanted to get there earlier than our guests to insure everything was in order. I walked in and went straight to the hostess counter to let them... More

My wife was having a “Special Birthday” so I decided to take some family out this year instead of having a party…We live in the West Valley and although there are a lot of great steak houses there I decided to do Lawry’s in Beverly Hills…we haven’t been there in years but always remembered it fondly…unfortunately I chose wrong!!! Visited Lawry's in Beverly Hills for the 1st time last week. Old Hollywood feel, the waitstaff is wonderful, the food is delicious! We had the prime rib and yorkshire pudding which was amazing! You will not leave hungry! They bring the aluminum looking grill right to your table and let you select your "doneness" as well as any sides you... More
