Fantastic food and stylish vibe

Great place to grab a stylish and delicious lunch or dinner. Dine by the pool for great people watching and retro vibe. Sat near Darryl Hannah at lunch.

Since we were staying at this hotel, we decided to have breakfast here before we left--the previous morning we took a short walk up the street for breakfast. We certainly did not have to wait, as we had to ask if they were open, so we pretty much had private dining. The service was great, as is the service with... More

I just ordered the pollo alla diavola - I didn't feel like going out, so I ordered room service. When I got my meal, I was blown away... this is a high quality restaurant meal, more than I could ever hope for via room service. This chicken was so tender, juicy and a little spicy...it was absolutely perfect... I might... More

Had dinner alone at the bar, as I was feeling under the weather and didn't feel up for a late dinner with colleagues. It was excellent. Started with the burrata and arugula - finished with the agnolotti di zucca. Proper portions and appropriately al-dente. I lived in Italy for 6 years, so totally appreciated it. Had to ask for bread,... More

This delightful little restaurant inside the 50's remodeled Avalon hotel is a delight. I just had lunch there today, a divine kale salad with salmon. Perfect fresh greens, beautifully cooked salmon and the prefect amount of dressing. ON this (rare) cold, rainy L.A. day it was perfect, drinking hot English Breakfast Tea with honey and looking out through the many... More

There is plenty of indoor seating but poolside is where it is at. If you do business in the area, you will likely bump into your colleagues and customers here. The food is good, the menu has lots of good stuff on it, and the service is very good.

The quality of the food was excellent! The arugula salad was fresh and bright, with flavourful beets and creamy mozzarella. The angus steak was delicious - as quoted by my husband. The pool side dining is quaint and romantic.

I liked the ambiance of the cabanas around the pool. Despite a small area, it didn't feel crowded. Good food quality. Seemed a little pricey, but it's a boutique hotel, so not way out of line. There were some creative twists on Italian cuisine. My only thought was it would be nice to have some standard options and a few... More

Che posso dire? "Italians Do It Better!" And when I say Italians, I mean authentic Italians who cook with passion, enthusiasm, creativity, and love! Chef Mirko Paderno is one passionate chef who puts his heart and soul into his food that are generously topped with shaved truffles, paired with vino Italiano, and followed by orgasmic deserts! Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
