Over the years i have come back to Il Cielo on multiple occasions because of its unique and charming setting, but for the most part the food has never lived up to the atmosphere, but its far from bad.

This place was just breath-taking. We sat out-side under the most amazing bejewled tent- very romantic! The servers were caring and very attentive. The food was traditional, but not in any way boring. For a few extra dollars when U make a reservation, you can request rose petals and a 24" candle for your table- so worth it! Want a... More

The ambience in Il Cielo is excellent. The Italian fare, service, wine list and food preparation are first rate. Il Cielo is moderately expensive.

I have to start by saying that I love the ambiance. I've been to this restaurant on many different occasions over the years. This time the service was extremely slow. it took about 40 minutes to even order wine and get menus. The food was great as always, the wine expensive but nice. Because of how long everything took we... More

Went here on a whim with my daughter and her boyfriend as it was within walking distance. If you make reservations for a romantic dinner, ask for the outside area. It is covered, has lots of tiny lights decorating the ceiling-very nice for a date. We sat a beautifully painted room next to the fireplace. The calamari appetizer was perfect! We... More

This place is enchanting, romantic , amazing ambience and the food is superb. The service could not have been better. My boyfriend and I were greeted by Ricardo, we had made reservations for a very busy night which was Christmas Eve. Ricardo was so attentive before he could give us a table out in the patio he gave us a... More

It's not often that a restaurant takes my breath away. Il Cielo did that! The dining area outside was covered with white lights in the trees and chandeliers hanging from above. The service was attentive. Cocktails and wine perfect. The food was wonderful although my bucatini amatriciana was little heavy on the sauce. No room for dessert! I'd love to... More

This restaurant is an institution in Beverly Hills, serving countless of romantic couples, who care as much for the food as for the ambiance. No wonder whyI have gone to quite a few (small) weddings in this place. The food is reliably good, innovative without losing a sense of comfortable familiarity. The gardens seem a replica of Paradise, I would... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
