The upscale restaurant at the Peninsula Hotel is a beautifully decorated place to have a meal prepared by a chef who knows his way around the kitchen. Starters include west coast oysters on the half shell, cold Maine lobster with a vanilla sauce or a number of tastefully concocted salads. You can have a prime beef tenderloin as your entree... Magnificent settings either inside and outside, the service was just perfect, our Maître was very professional and caring. Food wasn't exceptional as I would have expected from an upscale restaurant, however every meal was beautifully presented. Desserts were available from a self service buffet set in the main dining area, however, in my opinion they should be served at the... More

Belvedere is in the Peninsula Hotel and very welcoming and elegant. Service is excellent. However, Easter Sunday Brunch was a disappointment. Dishes were too busy, too many ingredients .

Elegant setting, efficient and engaging service, delicious food, excellent dessert. Seating is both inside and outside. Inside there is live music, very refined and pleasant, not overwhelmingly loud or intrusive, outside the setting is a bit more casual. Definitely a most desirable place for an elegant and delicious Sunday brunch!

The Sunday brunch is a lovely way to enjoy time with friends perhaps before or after shopping at near by Rodeo Drive. The starter range is delightful and the entree range likewise. The service is efficient and unpretentious. The champagne glasses were kept full and the desert range is glorious. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon in a beautiful restaurant with... More

Three old friends celebrate friendship and events a few times a year, in this case a birthday. The Belvedere room is very comme il faut and perfect for a special occasion. The food is always excellent and the service perfect. They lived up to their reputation!

It was to be a celeb spot. The dishes are nice, but the celebs left elsewhere and took the buzz with them. It is still a nice (though expensive) place for a special family gathering, but not much fun.

I used to frequent Belvedere in the 90's. My last visit before yesterday (2/22/15) was in 2002. The food used to be great, but now it's just ok. The amuse-bouche was unpalatable. It was a panna cotta, yes panna cotta. Truffle Macaroni and Cheese appetizer was excellent. It consisted of Elbow Macaroni, Black Truffle, Hen of the Woods Mushrooms &... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
