Pretty Good

As one reviewer said it is quite expensive so be prepared to pay roughly $100 per person. We had several appetizers and six entrees. The crab was very good. I enjoyed the shrimp toast appetizer. The service was good. Our server was attentive to our table and offered suggestions. The only thing... read more

Had not been here in over a decade - obviously was not overwhelmed by the last experience. This visit was similar. Nice atmosphere, good wine list, good service. Food is very pleasant, but seldom rises above that level. I am a great fan of Vietnamese food, and have traveled (and eaten) extensively in Vietnam. This is sort of fancied-up (and... More

They have the best garlic noodle in the world and the crabs are also so delicious. I never try anything like this before. The pasta taste so good and some of the appetizer like spring rolls and the satay are nice as well. Their wine selection is good.

We stopped here after doing some shopping because my beau insisted that I try the famous garlic noodle. They certainly didn't disappoint! I had 2 signature hand crafted cocktails, chicken satay, and garlic noodles with jump prawns and fresh crab. The presentation was excellent and the taste of everything was even better. This is a nice date spot, and I... More

Never again. Three people, one appetizer, 3 entrees, noodles, greasy rice with scallops and 6 cocktails= $500. Enough said. Simply put, the food is ridiculously expensive. It's good but nowhere near worth the price. The service is the same--good but for $500, I'm expecting to be spoon fed. More hype than substance. Do yourself a favor and pass on this.... More

This restaurant came highly recommended, and we were all excited to experience their supposedly excellent food. The restaurant itself is lovely, with a stream filled with koi under a glass floor. We were unfortunately underwhelmed by our food choices. The tapas sampler was average and my lobster lollipop was cold and tasty greasy. The garlic noodles had been touted as... More

THE place to go for crab and outstanding service. Very creative menue managed by expert chef Helen "Mama" An. Always gracious and humble, Mama's garlic noodles made in her secret kitchen are absolutely addicting. The beautiful decor and the family's fascinating history enhance the dining experience. The many special events at the restaurant are always outstanding. Go once and you... More

They wouldn't give us the recipe but undoubtedly the best dungeness crab we have ever eaten anywhere. The service and food were impeccable with prices to match but we would go back just for the crab! Great gathering place for business or friends that would like to impress with the food and service but be prepared for a substantial bill.

This is a must-go-to restaurant when visiting the LA area. However, it is very expensive, so be prepared. First, there is an under-the-floor aquarium that you walk on. It is very cool indeed and fun to look at. The rest of the place has excellent decor as well. The service is impeccable and the servers are all nice. The food... More

Went as a party of three & we ordered the drunken crab - good size, garlic fried noodles - my favorite, roasted asparagus - yummy, shrimp toast - very tasty, and fried rice - average. Didn't have to wait, no mistakes, a very satisfying experience. They have glass floors with Koi fishes swimming underneath and little bridges to go over.... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
