Good food - somewhat cold but efficient service

The food was very good - the chicken marsala is recommended and quite easily can be shared (I took home as much as I ate there). The menu is varied. The service was efficient but was aloof and somewhat chiding (perhaps it was his "thing", but it was off-putting). The valet park makes access easy... read more

Every Time we come to Beverly Hills we never miss a chance to dine at the Grill. The Steaks are unbelievable but we also had the soft shell crabs. They were simply to die for. If they are still offering the Pot Pie it is huge and delicious. Since we have eaten there before we tried the Sea Bass and... More

In the heart of the upscale shopping haven of Beverly Hills, a wonderful lunch was had, with old-time classy service, yet in a casual manner. Food is excellent, a bit pricey, with not overly large portions. Had an excellent halibut, and they offered to prepare it in every manner you prefer. Great key lime pie to finish the meal.

Simply one of the best restraunts I have ever been to. The waiting staff were very pleasant and helpful. We visited twice in a 3 day trip to LA and enjoyed shrimp cocktails, steaks and lamb chops all of which were cooked well and had a plenty of flavour. The place is a must for anyone visiting LA.

We asked the Concierge to recommend a typical American steakhouse in Beverly Hills and they suggested this restaurant which perfectly suited the description. Great steak with an equally great atmosphere. Very friendly and accomodating staff.

For those of us that like understated classic and elegant restaurant serving deliciously simple fresh and flavorful meals this is the place. The service is invisible, that is impeccable. There is an air of formality in a relaxed atmosphere, it feels like you are at the brasserie Lipp in Paris home of the powerful artists, politicians and intellectuals. At the... More

Enjoyed dinner here with colleagues while in Beverly Hills for a conference. We were all very happy with the choice. High quality meat prepared properly. Family-style sides are the perfect portion size.

A classic California style restaurant-- formal yet informal -- that has maintained it's quality over the years. From the warm greeting from the receptionist, to the charming, intelligent servers proffering delicious food. My lunch was not demanding -- steak tartare, but it was perfectly made. My companion raved about his Caesar Salad. The type of restaurant thad does not call... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
