A fantastic restaurant in every sense. Outstanding food, high quality relaxed environment. The first of a small chain, but don't be fooled this one is the first and the best. My family love the grill and it is always a highlight of our visit to LA. Go off the menu and ask for a chicken pot pie....... you won't regret... More

I gather this place is a bit of a Beverly Hills institution and when my party of seven arrived it was full to the rafters and really buzzing. But we were welcomed quickly and seated efficiently at a good table. Our waiter was an institution himself! He'd worked here for decades, looked as old and as comfortable as the leather... More

Horrible place and horrible hostess. We go on June 26 at noon and with a reservation on open table requesting a booth. We get welcomed by a very rude manager/ hostess. She loudly spoke over us and acted as if she is doing us a favor for being there and directing us to a table. My mother has back issues... More

Having lived in Los Angeles for 8 years, I had always heard about Grill on the Alley ( it's a major Entertainment Industry restaurant especially lunch) so I was a bit leery because sometimes those places can be over-hyped and snooty. I made a reservation on OPENTABLE.com and from the moment we walked in, it was one wonderful experience after... More

We are in LA visiting from NYC and, at the recommendation of the concierge at the Intercontinental hotel, went to dinner last night at "Grill on the Alley". It was shockingly bad. The service was ultra slow, the cocktails were unimpressive (although sounded great on the menu) and when the food finally arrived, it was lackluster at best. Save your... More

Went there with a party of 7 business colleagues. I got the time wrong by an hour. Too early. They were very accommodating and we promptly got a table and a very good meal. Will be back.

Swung by on a Saturday afternoon and luckily managed to secure a booth (with no reservation) for a lunch stop whilst shopping on rodeo drive. My partner had the New York steak sandwich and I had the lime chicken salad, both were of excellent quality (some of the nicest steak we have tasted!) the salad was absolutely delicious, but massive... First of all the waitress has to learn more regarding wine ,she just opened the bottle and poured some wine in our glasses,no tasting, and left.We ordered the most expensive steak on the menu,it was good but nothing special for its price,I think if we ordered the cheapest one It would have been just the same.the service was quite poor,we were... Grill on the Alley is our "go to" restaurant when entertaining people from out of town. The Dover Sole is the best in town and all of their steaks and chops are always done right.
