For those of us that like understated classic and elegant restaurant serving deliciously simple fresh and flavorful meals this is the place. The service is invisible, that is impeccable. There is an air of formality in a relaxed atmosphere, it feels like you are at the brasserie Lipp in Paris home of the powerful artists, politicians and intellectuals. At the... More

Enjoyed dinner here with colleagues while in Beverly Hills for a conference. We were all very happy with the choice. High quality meat prepared properly. Family-style sides are the perfect portion size.

A classic California style restaurant-- formal yet informal -- that has maintained it's quality over the years. From the warm greeting from the receptionist, to the charming, intelligent servers proffering delicious food. My lunch was not demanding -- steak tartare, but it was perfectly made. My companion raved about his Caesar Salad. The type of restaurant thad does not call... More

Booked the Grill for lunch with great anticipation as we ate here Dec 2012 and were very impressed. The old style charm & server uniforms are all class to match high level of service you'll receive. We started with the Steak Tartare & Seared Ahi Sashimi which were delicious & Chicken Pot pie and Beef short rib entrees to fill... More

Many people tell me that this is the place to go in Beverly Hills but I really didn't think that the salad was that good. I liked the ambience and the hustle and bustle but for these prices the salad should jump out and make me not want to stop eating. It was definitely a little flat or sat in... More

We went with friends for a Saturday night out dinner. Haven't been in years but always remember it as one of those great traditional restaurants with good food and professional waiters. Well the food was better than I recalled. The Dover sole, oysters, and steak tartare were all fantastic.I had the brick chicken which was good (but not as good... More

I dined solo at the bar at the Grill in December of 2014 I love the Grill on the Alley, mainly as it's one of the few places I can always find Steak Tartare, one of my favorite guilty pleasures. Normally I'll dine here with clients or associates, but I found myself solo for dinner while traveling, and went to... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
