Still good

Consistent food, good service, great sandwich. Only reason 4 stars, booths need upgrades and place looks dated.

A little piece of NYC in Beverly Hills. The pastrami reuben was to die for as was the very traditional 1/4 hot dog perfectly grilled. This restaurant was busy, busy, busy! We went for a late breakfast but instead ate an early lunch. Very good!

Having just completed a deli tour of NYC and LA, my girlfriend is of the opinion that this is the place to be in LA! Forgot all the fancy joints and come chill with some Larry David like minded folk with endless pastrami and pickles!

Nate 'n Al serves all the classic jewish deli dishes you would expect in the traditional format. They also had a large breakfast menu that appears to be served all day. I had the matzo ball soup which was exactly what I expected and very good. I also ordered the California Chicken Sandwich, which was not flavorful. That was my... More

My wife and I spent a couple of hours at the Paley Center and wandered down the street when we got hungry and this looked like it would fill the bill for a late lunch. It was Saturday so they were busy but we only had to wait five or six minutes. Once seated the service was very quick. We... More

The chicken soup and sandwiches are great. Try the whitefish appetizer,it has a generous piece of smoked whitefish, onion, tomato and bagel and makes a fine meal by itself. The hot meals are popular but I usually have a bowl of matzo ball soup (ask for chicken added to it) and corned beef sandwich extra lean. When we want a deli... More

Fabulous pastrami sandwich, great macaroni salad and stuffed cabbage that rivaled my grandmothers. Long-ish wait, but it was a holiday weekend. Fast, efficient, pleasant service.

Been to much better Jewish deli's. The take out took over an hour to get ready. The slowest service. Mediocre corned beef. Don't waste your energy, money or time thinking you are getting a true treat of a Jewish deli. Sorry. Greatly disappointed.

Every time I've ever been to Nate n Al's I've had to wait a pretty good wait to be seated. I was there 12/12/2015 and waited 30 minutes. They were slammed. But I love this deli and the food is really good and you always meet such interesting people. Would I go back, you bet! I was traveling alone and... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
