I had been seeking bold flavours in the US for 2 weeks prior and finally we stumbled upon this super-duper wee eatery. Busy, busy -which is always a good sign! Service was good and the food - bang on! Wanted to try everything but my belly wouldnt let me. Superb! Its a must do on your dining calendar.

A favourite when we're visiting LA. Nice Italian food, however my husband ordered a fish dish and was quite bland. I would stick to typically Italian dishes like pastas, risottos and their appetisers. If you are staying near N. Canon Drive, give it a try. It has a great (but loud) atmosphere and fantastic for people watching. Tables are close,... More

Nice Italian restaurant. But the restroom was very dirty and tables are very close. But but the salads and risottos were perfect....

Walking past and thought, "this looks pleasant". It was a beautiful day, as always in Beverly Hills, and they gave us a sidewalk table. We ordered the antipasto which could have been a meal in itself as there was a huge amount on the plate. Then we had the lobster linguine which was fantastic. A great meal, at a fair... More

Wandered into the restaurant while shopping on Rodeo Drive at lunch on Sunday. Beautiful day. Outdoor dining looked nice, but sat at the bar. Lovely, efficient bartender. She was talkative and informative. One of the TVs at the bar had a closed circuit shot of the kitchen. intriguing idea. They were making a huge pot of duck ragout. All of... More

It's a nice restaurant in the heart of Beverly Hills. The food was good, but not exceptional. We had a reservation for a group of 8 and arrived on time, but still had to wait for over 40 minutes to get seated. The table was actually good for 6 people so we were cramped and too close to the table... More

We were looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion and Il Pastaio fit the bill perfectly. It's very much like an authentic Italian bistro; crowded, noisy, quick-paced. But the food and service are impeccable. The place is very popular with the Beverly Hills crowd and peak hours are prime so reservations are highly recommended. A dish not on... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
