Soon as we arrived we were met by a large bar area, the restaurant had an established feel and relaxed vibe. Cocktail list seemed limited but I made a choice and its was great. No problem with table, in fact we had a table outside booked and asked to change to inside and, they secured us a large booth type table... more

Travelled from Scotland to California looking forward to the warmer climate.....Not for long!! All was well until we went to Spago in Beverly Hills. The place was amazing and the staff were wonderful, with one exception...They didn't seem to understand the phrase "please turn down the Aircon". Almost all of the diners in the main dining room were sitting with... more

My wife and I had dinner here during a recent trip to LA. We loved the decor, vibe and the friendly but professional waiting staff. The food was very good, I can still taste some of the dishes a month later which has to be a good sign. Portions were large but not so large we couldn't manage to share... more

This is the place to treat yourself and savor every bite. Give yourself an incredible dining experience. Yes, it is expensive but you leave it remembering every bite you had and wishing it was your B-day again or your anniversary or whatever special occasion you go out to a nice restaurant! I had the gnocchi with lamb ragu sauce, apple... more

Took our daughter there for her 40th birthday and it was so perfect especially when Wolfgang walked up to our table with a birthday hug for our daughter. Perfect evening. Setting and food were great. more

After having spent a lovely weekend in Hawaii, my husband & I travelled to LA & were looking forward to spending our first night enjoying dinner at Spago's. The atmosphere was lovely but shame about the food, I ordered the skate as my main which tasted good but later that night it appears it was not so nice as the... more

Took my wife to Spago's on Aug 29th for her birthday. Ordered the 5 course tasting menue with Wine pairing. This was the best dinner that we have ever had, anywhere in the world. First the food was fabulous. Second the services was perfect and lastly everyone around us wondered if we were celebrities because of the treatment we received.... more

Overall a good experience. Not as formal or service-oriented as upscale restaurants on the East Coast. More casual. Lots of pastels. You can see the kitchen through glass. An outdoor (with umbrellas) area. Not visible from the street, though so not really "outdoors." 11:00 it was about 70% full. Saturday. Memorial Day weekend. There is a bench with six tables... more

Worth every penny, the food (I had Risotto and Leg of Lemb) was exquisite, the staff (we were served by a guy from El Salvador who was extremely friendly) was very good and the decor is good. Probably one of the best restaurants I´ve been to. more

Spago has a long and glorious history which is probably why it received a Michelin star. However, were it to reopen tomorrow under a different name I doubt it would be worthy of one. Ingredients here were fresh and the cooking was of a high quality. However, the prices are higher than they should be and I was surprised to... more
