Spago - Still the Go To Place in Beverly Hills

Our first visit to Spago was in 1999. Tony Curtis was in the bar and he began chatting to us and we said we were on our honeymoon. The maitre'd called us for our table and we then sat down to a wonderful meal. As we neared the end of the meal, Wolfgang Puck arrived at our table with a... read more

I honestly didn't expect to see any celebrities here, but we saw Bob Newhart, Don Rickles, Al Pacino, Bobby Cannavale, Jennifer Garner, and Chris Christie all sitting pretty close to us. The restaurant itself was pretty average for the price range. The food was very good, but mostly small portions and kind of plain. The desserts were exceptionally good, though.... More

I took clients to Spago Beverly Hills and was seated at a table next to the fireplace. It was too hot and I requested a table change. The restaurant employee could not seat us at the next open table even though no guests were seated in the entire restaurant. We were escorted back to the reception area and told all... More

After going to WP24 and being underwhelmed, we thought this Wolfgang Puck institution would set things right. Unfortunately, we were once again disappointed. There were no fatal flaws and service was adequate, but it should have been better at this price point. The best courses were the oysters and sushi box. Both sommeliers were very helpful and knowledgeable at helping... More

We went for dinner after a reception at nearby Montage. Hoped to sit in patio, but 'nothing available' though there were some empty tables on this Tuesday night quite late. Oh well. Nice ambience and a lively group. So far so good. Then it went south...just no service. Every question could not be answered. Sommelier was not familiar with wines... More

Have eaten here before but this time I was a bit disappointed. as always the service was great but I though the food was only okay and with a pretty big price tag, I was a bit disappointed. Hopefully next time it will be better

Travelers would be well advised to plan a meal at Spago regardless of why they find themselves in Los Angeles. It is among the most interesting and well presented food in America. Every offering is unique in preparation and flavor. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is outstanding. It is a definite place for a treat well worth the... More

Opens year 1997. Since then this restaurant is one of landmark. After renovation, menu have been improved. Pasta dishes are great. Seafood( lobster, crab meat,Shrimp cocktail are always winner. )Tourist attraction? I still believe that this restaurant for local. Dress up and enjoy! Parking attendees and waiter have been working for long time. Beverly Hills charm are still there.

after enjoying Wolfgang Puck restaurants for years, from Beverly Hills and West Hollywood to Maui, Vegas and more... we are done. Today after a medical appointment we went for lunch and though there were only 2 or 3 of many tables taken on the patio, we were told "we have standing reservations for our patio on Fridays". If there were... More

I have been here the past two years for a work function. Always nice, service is good. Not sure the food is much better than Earl's, nor much more unique. Prefer Crustacean or somewhere bit more unique.

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
