Step inside Il Fornaio and take a culinary journey through Italy. Early mornings bring rustic, crisp crusted bread hot from the oven accompanied by the scent of fresh brewed espresso. During lunch and dinner hours, pastas and flavorful sauces simmer while meats and vegetables roast over hot coals. Bottles of wine from small, regional wineries are uncorked to complement the dishes, which have been crafted in the custom of Italy's chefs, bakers and homemakers. Il Fornaio means "the Baker" in Italian. This award-winning restaurant offers an authentic and unique Italian dining experience. Specialties include wood-fired rotisserie and grilled meats, poultry and game; housemade pastas; pizzas from an oak wood burning oven; fresh salads and housemade soups; a wide variety of desserts; and fresh baked bread made daily from scratch. Winner of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2007.

Real Italian food served the Italian way

Ample servings of excellent food done the Italian way. Great service and reasonable prices (Beverly Hills...). We'll go back next time we're shopping there.

We ended here based on recommendation of a travelling guide. To me surprise in the middle of the high level beverly hills shopping, but at a normal price (pizza at 18 usd). Very crowded, best is to make reservation or wait 15 to 30 minutes at entrance. Food was very good. Public parking available at 100 meters for 6 usd.... More

Excellent food spoiled by the underhand shenanigans of the waiter otherwise this would have been 5 stars. Basically he took my card and disappeared and then presented me with a card receipt that did not include the total charge. When challenged he became a bit agitated and bolshi. So be careful and do not your card out of your sight.

One of my Los Angeles Family's favorite restaurants. Visiting LA last week, my husband and I wanted to take my nephew and his girlfriend (who we had not previously met) to dinner. Turns out, it's a family favorite. The location is very convenient. The food was quite good. Nephew suggested my husband order the rabbit, which he loved. Good salads... More

We came around 3 pm, there was actually around 3 tables that are being waited on. The hostess upfront was busy with something, no immediate acknowledgment of the customer. When we got sat, food took so long to come to our table. Food was cold. It was recommended by a Sicilian friend for its bread. Don't know if I want... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
