After having read the reviews I went in with guarded optimism. The place was lively, very loud, and crowded for a Saturday night. Luckily we were able to snag a table for four on a busy Saturday night. We were seated immediately upon arrival, which was very nice, and that's when things started to go south. It took some time... We were really up for a Vietnamese that evening. Going for a Beef Pho or something in that direction. Parking next door we went in to the restaurant, we thought this couldn't be it. Modern setting, minimalist style, young people...exiting. We never saw the Vietnamese menu we know. We needed an interpreter. Order 4-5 different dishes and you'd be OK,... More

Just ate at Red Medicine and WOW was the food excellent. I would have given it a 5 star review, but the bartender, Adam who waited on me, was so unfriendly and cold that it took away from what would have been a flawless experience. Sole diners, such as myself, sit at bars to eat for a bit of personal... More

Some of the most delectable, unique and gorgeous food ever. Love the foie gras mousse and edible flowers and subtle ingredients that combine in the most wonderful presentations. Foodie treat but not for those seeking a quiet romantic spot--minimalist atmosphere, loud and happening but worth the noise.

Jordan Kahn is continually doing amazing things at Red Medicine. Utilizing different herbs and spices that one would not normally find in the grocery store, the various dishes are delightful to try. Be sure to get the green papaya salad. If you are not in the bar, ask for the salad (it is only on the bar menu). If you... More

I knew this space in its last incarnation and I was eager to try this new restaurant. The minute I walked in-quite early-I was hit by a wall of noise. As the evening progressed, it only got worse-so much so that I could not hear the server or my dinner companions across from me. What could have been a spectacular experience... More

Nice corner location in BH. Got a good table by the window which was nice. Had the crab and brussel sprouts as recommended by Yelp posters. The sprouts were by far the highlight of the meal. I could eat them everyday prepared that way. Did not serve any of my preferred tequillas. They only had two blancos to choose from.... More

Take a wild choice from any of the plates of the menu and you will be pleasantly satisfied!  We had black carrots, Indian aubergines, chicken dumplings, lamb and pork and we could not believe how good all combinations were.   True, the bill is high as the music, but what a good choice of musice there, too.

After hearing so much about this restaurant, my husband and I finally made it for a date night. We ordered about 6 dishes, which were more than plenty for two. Although I always prefer tasting menus of 10 or so because of the diversity of flavors. The dungeness crab egg rolls were tasty, but not great. The foie gras mousse... More
