Above average Italian

Three of us had dinner on January 30. This is a great location for people watching. Valet parking is available and recommended. Reservation is necessary for prompt seating. We all agreed the food was above average and better than most. One of us requested an off menu dish of eggplant and it... read more

Great place, superbly located. Just sitting here one feels richer. The service is just perfect, friendly and accommodating. The cocktail list is impressive and the wine list for Italian vintages is incredible. We had a risotto, pasta, sea bass, all excellent. Why than only 4/5? Because of the rib steak, very very average. I left a message for the chef... More

Just completed a nice lunch at Via Alloro. The service was attentive and appropriate- water glass was always full, and the pacing of the meal was spot on. I had a glass of Pinot Grigio and the capellini. The wine was served chilled and was quite nice. The capellini had fresh tomatoes and garlic slices. Somewhat oily for my liking, but... More

Stopped in for lunch & was pleasantly surprised. Great quality pasta & wines. Service was excellent & prices are OK by Beverly Hills standards. 5 meals served up to our table & all rated highly by my family of Italian experts. Recommended here by our hotel.

Los Angeles has a large number of Italian restaurants run by actual Italians, and the Drago group is among the best. The Drago brothers go back frequently to the Sicilian roots, and always keep the menu fresh and delicious. Via Alloro has a spacious outside seating area which is excellent for people watching. I recommend ordering a number of dishes... More

A nice restaurant in the middle of Beverly Hills , Beverly drive. I suggest you to sit outside, have your Italian dinner, accompanied by a glass of red wine. All the food selection is delicious and tasty. Most probably you will come again, after your first visit.

Wanted to meet up with a friend and he recommended this restaurant. We sat outside on the terrace which offered great people watching too! The waiter was excellent, very unobtrusive but kept in touch as needed throughout our meal. The Pizza Margherita was some of best I have ever had and the Tuna carpaccio was also great. The prices weren't... More

One of the signs of a good restaurant is delicious bread; and their bread is crusty and fresh! Three of us had dinner; the inside dining room could be more comfortable; and do I really need to see the kitchen on a tv screen? I don't even want to see my own kitchen. We shared an antipasto and all had... More

We got to this restaurant by walking around in Beverly Hills. The food is very good and the service is very attentive. It is a very good option if you are looking for a very good food at reasonable prices.

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
