When I moved to Berkeley, I quickly learned about the local preference for Peets. Now it is owned by another corporation, but it is still a great place to have a cup of good coffee. Many stores throughout the Bay Area.

Hey, the name says it all! It's Peets! I love the rich coffee, the quick and friendly service, the ample space to sit and chat or work on my lap top using free wifi, and of course to partake in their pastries. Only downfall... Parking is difficult!

I prefer a cafe with a seating area that isn't on the street. If Peet's had garden seating I'd choose it above any cafe.

If you are a coffee lover, try Starbucks then compare with Peet's Coffee. You will decide Peet's has a nicer roast of coffees and teas.

If you are looking for great strong coffee, then Peets is the place to go! The carry many varieties of TEA also. Our favorite drink is a double iced latte with simple sugar. very great!

The Peets chain is relatively small compared to the behemoth a couple of former employees started, but their adherence to quality has remained even as they were absorbed by bigger companies. Their characteristic roast is a bit dark for some tastes, but that was the way Mr. Peet liked it done.

It ll started at Peets many many years ago. By far the best coffee in Northern California. They roast coffee better than any other.

First visted the original Berkeley location on the recommendation of my step-daughter over 20 years ago; since moving to Walnut Creek 7 years ago, we have contiued patronizing Peet's locations in Lafayette and Walnut Creek. Haven't been disappointed yet-more than I can say for the other well-known brand!

The teas are really very tasty, much better than Starbucks teas. The folks at the Fourth Street location are extremely helpful. Makes the whole experience very enjoyable so that you want to come back.
