This place offers great authentic Mexican street food. Tacos and salads are great, as is the vegetarian tamale. Pro tip: breakfast, especially the huevos divorciados paired with their fantastic latte (served in a huge bowl like the French would do...). We love this place.

Could see what I think were hand made tacos behind the bar. Absolutely excellent, not to mention the Tamales that are also delicious. Went there three times for a fast dinner during a seven days stay in Berkeley.

I was going to headline my review Yummy and then I noticed how common that reaction to Tacubaya is among other reviewers. This little tacqueria has great food at reasonable prices--yummy indeed. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere. I've tried a number of the restaurant choices in the Fourth St. area and so far this is my favorite.

Great pork tacos here! Nice and spicey. Suggestion: drink water instead of ordering drinks because they are pricey!

Great food, good variety, at decent prices. (I didn't try the tongue tacos though). Would love to go back.

Have eaten here several times for lunch. It is gourmet mexican food, in a very casual setting. Everything i have ordered, particularly the pork, has been delicious. Portions are on the small side compared to most mexican restaurants and brought to you after ordering at the counter.Love this place.

I confess, in general day to day Mexican food in America has never appealed to me. I enjoy Oyamel (Jose Andres Mexican restaurant in DC) but this is a gourmet chef's menu and interpretations. But Tacubaya converted me to fish tacos! The corn meal tacos themselves were fresh and delicious, the fish was nicely fried (and there was plenty of... More

Wanted Mexican food while in Berkeley...tried this place without knowing too much about it. In a nice shopping area on 4th street. Not a a traditional full Mexican food menu..cafeteria style seating...food was ok, but the menu was a little too non-traditional for our tastes. Prices were not bad though. Can't say that we would return given other Mexican food... More

Tacubaya benefits from being one of the few restaurants in the Fourth Street shopping area of Berkeley. However, the food is not that great. We just had dinner there today, and I actually had the blandest chile relleno I've ever tasted. There was truly no spice to it, which seems very, very strange. It can be very crowded and hard...
