Dinner on Wendsday niht

Tasty Italian food made by Italian cook with fresh ingredients, house made pasta and sauses. However, the restaurant accetta cash only . And this was a total surprise to me.

WOW! I had simply one of the great meals at this restaurant last night. Chef's special of a ragu with bone, lamb, hocks and tomato sauce with a terrific Sicilian red wine and caesar salad. The words Zagat are everywhere on the doors and it is highly recommended. Go before a film at the Elmwood across the steer and enjoy... More

every time i go to the Bay Area, i have to spend at least one night here. Angelo and his family are very welcoming, the staff is excellent and the chef is WONDERFUL! you'll love the menu, the food is spectaular and is presented beautifully... news flash: they now take both credit cards and reservations, but it's always very crowded... Delicious Italian food from antipasti to second. Owner chef is Italian and knows what he is doing. Truly great pasta, gnocchi, fish, meat. Far-ranging menu. Cash only. Large parties eat family style as the kitchen is small. Noisy, crowded, great fun. Usually a line on weekends but worth the wait.

the power was off at the theater across the street, so we dropped in here. What an unexpected delight! It is a small, crowded, and love very place. We found excellent food, wonderful and friendly service, and very good wine. My "boss sauce" pasta was great, as was her seafood dish. We will return, if only to say to Guiseppe!

Small, almost a hole in the wall. Not a lot of seating. Recommend a reservation or come at off hours. We liked our pasta (Penne al Arrabiata) but the chicken (Chicken Diavola) was nothing special (and had nothing else n the plate save some greens underneath as garnish. Can't say I'd seek it out again but I would probably stick... More

I love this restaurant. and have been going there for years. However, it is VERY popular and if you eat "late-ish" it will be crazy jammed with a long wait. Solution? Go for lunch or eat dinner early... meaning be there when the doors open. Go during the "off" hours... Their pasta with black ink sauce is the best I've... More

We had dinner at La Trattoria Siciliana tonight. The service was very very slow. It took them 1h 10min to bring us our main (and only dishes). The food was very average (we ordered salmon and it was completely burned). The most unacceptable thing though was the overcharge in our check and how poorly they handled it. They didn't even... Ate here after a movie at the venerable Elmwood Theater. Straight across the street. Four of us ordered three starters and tow pastas. Angelo sized the pasta and starters for four which was a nice touch. Kale Saute with pine nuts and citrus was the highlight. Bruschetta was very large and hard to eat but tasty. The Zucca Agrodolce was... More
