This spot can be a bit crowded in the evening, but if you are looking for the perfect spot to have an afternoon glass of wine, soak up some afternoon sun on the street, as have some small bites, this is it. I always add this to my Summer "to do" list, making relaxing at Cesar's a must do! Bit... More

We love having Cesar sangrias, pardon peppers, zaatar lamb and paella. Desserts are wonderful: almond caramel ice cream. Spanish cheese platter is nice too. Great wine list. Try some Spanish caves. No reservations but if you go early, they have space.

Good tapas right in the heart of the Gourmet Ghetto (right next to Chez Panisse, right across the street from the Cheese Board collective, not far from the Food Court). This place is really great on a warm summer afternoon, but due to the acoustics it can be hard to have a conversation here when it starts to get a... More

Pan y tomatos is very easy to make, take bread and rub tomatos and garlic over the open side and put it in the oven. Its not toasted bread with a lot tomato sauce on top. So i wonder were the chefs went in Spain.

Based on two visits to Cesar - great drinks, noisy and fun. Really noisy - so if it's a first date, try to sit by the window onto the street (open in good weather). Had tapas there several years go (excellent) but these were bar-only visits - except for the great, free olives and one of us had fabulous bread... More

We went in a Tuesday night with sisters in law...reasonable corkage fee, great menu, but disinterested waitstaff. I had been 6 years ago, and although I understood the menu better thus time, I did expect better service. Out waitress left before we even finished our meal and no one returned to bring a check until we we to get someone.... More

We enjoyed two things here greatly. #1: The smells. They hit you as soon as you walk in. Unbelievable. #2: The wine. Great wine list. Mostly European, with a few from California and South America as well. My one complaint is that they chill the wines so so much, you can barely taste them. I'm certainly no expert, but the... More

There must be a db app for the iphone, I should download it. Noise was one problem-I suppose the younger crowd enjoys that kind of thing. I'm not looking for my dinner with Andre, I just want to be able to have a conversation while dining. The verduras tapas were good: Asparagus soup was fine, but I don't think charcuterie... More

This is a great place for a quick Martini (or two). Nice ambience and the food is good as well. Great place for a late night dinner.
