Decent brunch

This was a decent brunch served out on a beautiful patio. The Brioche Pain Perdu (French toast) was a bit lacking in flavor, but a good dose of maple syrup fixed that. My wife had the ham and cheese omelet, which was excellent, as was a crisp side order of bacon.

We (two of us) ate here for breakfast based on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Berkeley. We did get seated right away, and the menu looked very yummy and very French. Our cafe au laits were excellent, and the gingerbread pancakes were good, as were the eggs with sausage and homefries. Our breakfast was made less than... More

Very good breakfast. Coffee is strong. Sometimes hard to find parking. Get there early otherwise there's a line to get a table.

My family and I went here for breakfast the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend at the recommendation of fellow Trip Advisor members. We were a party of 5 and waited about an hour for a table. If the weather is nice, it is worth the effort to ask for outside seating. The flowers are beautiful back there! Based on the... More

My only complaint with La Note's breakfast is the expectation of a wait. It's worth it to have the best omelette so, great coffee, pastries, cereals and ambience. I am also a big fan of their lunches and dinners. It's nothing extraordinary but if you have been to Paris and want a boeuf bourgignon or to Nice and you want... More

Brunch is one of my favorite meals and La Note delivers. I always get the same curated combo: side of ratatouille, side of merguez (all time fav), and side of eggs. To add to thee frenchie meal is an adorable patio which is delightful when the weather is right. The service is also in point and consistent. Last month after... More

My dad let me write this review for him. As a ten year old, I loved the breakfast here. The food here was amazing. I couldn't believe how tasty the the eggs and bacon were. Also, my sister, who is super picky about everything she eats, really enjoyed her creme fraiche pancakes. My parents loved the coffee so much they... More

The cinnamon brioche pain perdu with lavender honey was the best french toast I've had in a long time. The eggs were mediocre (undercooked and underseasoned) but the potatoes we're seasoned and cooked just right-delicious. They should add some of that seasoning to the eggs! The gingerbread pancakes we're the worst part of the breakfast- I would suggest against them.... More

We are from Northern California and whenever we are in the bay area we make a detour to have breakfast/brunch here. Quaint, authentic, friendly and delicious! Even our server was French which just added to the experience. The bread is to die for, great coffee. Busy atmosphere so can be loud but adds to the bustling french cafe feel. We... More
