Six of us. Four adults, two kids. Superb service. The bouillabaisse was the best yet. fine salad. Buche de Noel was great. Good atmosphere.

Small cozy neighborhood restaurant with outdoor heated patio. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is casual French, good nothing exceptional. We had dinner after a Cal Football game, so understandably it was crowded yet food arrived timely. The setting and people make this place memorable.

Every time we are in East Bay for the past four to five years, we make sure that we go to this establishment. We are never disappointed. The last time I went, I booked the separate banquet room for 20. I was willing to go out on the limb to treat family to a great meal; this says a lot... More

This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. I am lucky enough to live so close to this charming and accomplished French bistro, with the best onion soup I have had outside of Paris. I have been coming here since the first week chef Todd opened it, and it has only gone from strength to strength as far as the food goes.... More

The good: Ratatoilee, bouillabaisse, salade roquette (sweet melon, prosciutto & arugula) was great, and the featured wine of the day (a Russian River rose). The okay: steak frittes (good fries, order medium rare was medium and accompanied sauce unremarkable), tarte flambée. The not so good: mussels (mussel meat small, broth lacked flavor - not much wine, garlic or butter -... More

I just love this place! Not the stuck up, healthy California cuisine you always read about in the San Francisco Chronicle; just downright tasty food you might experience in a French bistro off the beaten path in Paris. Their Bouillabaisse is superb. Best, I've ever eaten since visiting the Cote d'Azur! The menu is varied and typically French. Les Moules,... More

Restaurants seem to change hands , cuisine , location or just disappear by the time you start to frequent them here in the Bay Area. So its a welcome realization when your adult children remember they came as well behaved kids .Bistro Liaison is one of those places. The menu is diverse and interesting. The food perfectly cooked and professionally... More

This cosy little restaurant is a true gem in the fabulous crown of Berkeley cuisine. Some may find it crowded, but I liked the feeling of being transported to Europe for a couple of hours. The staff is attentive but not overbearing and they clearly enjoy working there. The salade niçoise was the best I've ever had.
