Outstanding breakfast place.

Fun Interesting local hang out. Wonderful breakfasts. Be prepared to wait. Grab a cup of coffee next door, get you name on the wait list and enjoy the scenery. Or...get there early.

I can see why locals live this place! Bright clean environment with a patio. I ordered gluten-free pancakes and they were fluffy and flavourful. I will definitely be back!

Best brunch in the area, great plates, I recommend the french toast and the bet and potatoes hash brown with poached egg!

This is a perfect place in terms of food - I highly recommend the gingerbread waffles. However, maybe I am just really unlucky, or maybe it's just because I am there alone, but I have a 50/50 chance of getting good service. Sometimes the servers are really friendly, other times I get dumped in a chair and barely looked at.... More

A Berkeley institution, and for good reason. Fresh, good food. Love the potato pancake ... the granola ... everything. They do great catering, too. I only wish nobody knew about it, as the wait is long on the weekends.

A 'must' while in the Bay area is a stop for breakfast at Rick and Ann's ! They have a funky, fun place! The food is very good and the wait staff friendly and efficient. You will not be disappointed. A fun new addition since our last visit is the enclosed patio. Nothing better than a great breakfast while you... More

We tried to walk in the night before for dinner, but we were told they were booked, so we made a reservation for the next evening. Being that they were so highly rated, we didn't want to pass up the opportunity. So, after a long day at Alcatraz, we made it back in time for our dinner ressie. We were... More

We went for brunch and waited nearly an hour for a table. The service is great, servings huge, and food wholesome and solid. The chicken apple sausage is excellent. I ordered the omelette, which was good but nothing to write home about. My brunch companion ordered Emily's Plate, which looked more delicious. Unfortunately they don't take reservations, so put your... More

Read a lot of reviews about breakfast here so I walked downhill from the Claremont hotel to give this place a try. Not disappointed. Ordered one of the breakfast specials Steak Fritata which is eggs and steak over a bed of tortilla chips and topped with salsa. The green salsa made it look like toxic sludge over eggs but it... We loved eating here regularly when we lived in Berkeley and always try to stop in when visiting. Cozy, comfortable atmosphere. We had the Pancakes, Waffles, and Greens Omelet. All were fresh and flavorful. Don't miss this spot.
