The Cheeseboard is not just awesome pizza sold by the slice of the whole pie, it is a worker-owned co-op in the heart of Berkeley's Gourmet Ghetto. even if you think you prefer pizza with me, trust me, you wanna do the Cheeseboard. They only serve one choice of pizza daily, you buy by slice or pie. If you order...

What's not to love? A line-up that stretched the block, but moved quickly because they have only one (absolutely delicious) pizza flavour every night. Tonight was corn and cilantro pesto. Coupled with a cold beer and live jazz, it can't get any better!
Wow no meat?? Didn't even notice!
Freaking unbelieveable pizza!! We were walking down the street and spotted this freaking long line, and thought what the heck? I talked my BF into standing in line and trying a 1/2 pizza. I am so glad we did.
A not so hidden neighborhood gem that I'm giving thumbs up!

The Cheeseboard Pizza is in the "gourmet ghetto" of Shattuck Avenue in North Berkeley (in the same neighborhood as Chez Panisse, Gregoire's, Cesar).
There is one organic, peak-of-flavor pizza offered each day (past favorites include the corn pizza, and tomato with goat cheese), with two openings daily for lunch and dinner. The menu also includes salads, soft drinks, wine and...

But these days, they have extended their hours to dinner, bake more pizza, and the live performances are lunch and...

The cheeseboard offers one pizza each day - its a menu with one item. I've never had one that wasn't great. I love their use of lemon. The music at lunch is fun, albeit a big loud. But you can, and we always do, eat the pizza in the grassy median of Shattuck Avenue (where the sign says you can't......

Loved the pizza yesterday; it changes every day and that is the only kind they offer that day. Lines out the door but they move very fast. Be sure you know what you want before you hit the counter. They always add an extra slice if you order a four slice half for instance. They offer several bottled beers and...

Arizmendi actually an offshoot of here. The pizza is so great- crisp on the bottom, garlickly on top - no matter what the topping of the day. Must eat immediately or get a half baked to cook at home. Gets soggy right away if you try to get it to go.
