We had been saying for 3 days that we were going to have pizza. Am I glad we waited! The staff at Zachary's is incredibly friendly -- drink refills without asking, advance notice that the deep dish pizza will take about 40 minutes, and great teamwork. Really loved this place. Ingenious use of the high stools to hold the pizza... More

This place has great pizza. Can get very crowded at prime time such as lunch or dinner. The wait can get long if you want to eat in. I would suggest that you call and take out if you don't want to wait. The pizza is well worth the visit.

We ordered the Zachary's Special deep dish pizza and it was very good. Only issue I had was the crust, which should have made with (more) butter to give it a little more flavor. Anyway, I'm glad there is a Chicago style pizza in the Bay Area.

They say if you can't say anything nice, don't. I think it's okay, but life is wayyyy too short for okay Pizza. On a note more fair, I have friends who love it. Bottom line: Go to Cheeseboard or Blondies.

We have sworn off all other pizzas and pledge our allegiance to Zachary's deep dish (true deep dish) pizza. The crust is baked to perfection and the fresh herbs and tomatoes enhance any combos you choose, although we are partial to the spinach and mushroom. Great for take out.

We never tire of this pizza. We defect once in a while just to prove how great it is! The sauce is extraordinary, tomato based with the perfect blend of spices. The crust baked to perfection.

Both the Solano and the College locations have a family friendly, great pizza-eating atmosphere. Deep dish with the sauce on top- Chicago style.

If you like deep dish pizza, you will love Zachary's Chicago Pizza on Solano in Berkeley, CA. I really enjoyed the half spinach and mushroom and half Mediterranean. Thanks to my Berkeley friends who made the recommendation - and now I am paying it forward!

The pizza is stellar. One slice is a meal in itself and there are always (happily) leftovers for us. Their standard mushroom/spinach is a classic and always delightful. The Caesar salad packs a yummy garlic punch. Staff is always a delight. You can call ahead to place an order for takeout and they also have half-bakes in a few flavors... More

Based on the rave reviews, me and a friend decided to try Zachary's and ordered a simple thin cheese pizza to take out. We both anticipated that "thin" meant thin, crisp crust. We were disappointed - the crust was not of the thinness that we both like and was not crispy. The tomato sauce tasted fresh and homemade and was... More
