We came here late on Saturday night which was perfect because there were no crowds! I haven't eaten here in over 15 years and it's as good as I remember it. The deep dish pizza was absolutely amazing. The crust is my favorite because it's not very doughy but packs a lot of flavor. We ordered the pizza with sausage,... More

I sampled deep dish in Chicago just to be sure...Zachary's is even better. Go for spinach, sausage and mushroom deep dish, or try a thin crust if that is more to your liking which is excellent although not quite as divine. Good salads too, and crayons for the kids.

If you're a fan of deep dish pizza, look no farther. Zachary's is the best that I've had outside of going to Chicago. They have regular crust, but if you have the time, treat yourself. The people give you the laid back vibe of the Bay Area, with the taste of the midwest. Not a ton of space inside the... More

I love Zachary's deep dish, especially the chicken, although the sausage is also good. I generally get it to go and enjoy it at home with the kids. You can also get it half baked and finish it in your oven at home. I generally go to the shop on N. Solano in Berkeley. There is one on College near... More

Zachary's Pizza makes the Bay Area's best heavyweight, traditional pizzas: thick, cheesy, intense. Zachary's tomato sauce is . . . well-seasoned tomatoes. Zachary's dough is flavorful and crisp. Zachary's small tables are set in a noisy room. Zachary's servers are friendly and funny. Our plan: order by phone, pick up, take home, and love every bite!

I am from Berkeley. Born and raised. Been here many times over the years ( there was a period way back in my teens when I loved it… but that was avery long time ago!) and seen the extremely long lines for years and still wonder what all the fuss is about. Once in a while I will pick up... More

This is definitely the best pizza I've ever tasted. There are many classic Zachary's menu choices. All pizza's can be prepared in either deep dish or thin crust. My favorite is the Chicken Special on a healthy whole wheat crust. Absolutely Delicious !!! I've enjoyed this pizza for many years now and the food and the service is always great.... More

My husband loves pizza and a friend who also happens to be a chef recommended this place. It was amazing. We loved it. My husband wants to open one, not sure if that's a real possibility, but should tell you a lot about the pizza. Amazing!!

We had been saying for 3 days that we were going to have pizza. Am I glad we waited! The staff at Zachary's is incredibly friendly -- drink refills without asking, advance notice that the deep dish pizza will take about 40 minutes, and great teamwork. Really loved this place. Ingenious use of the high stools to hold the pizza... More

This place has great pizza. Can get very crowded at prime time such as lunch or dinner. The wait can get long if you want to eat in. I would suggest that you call and take out if you don't want to wait. The pizza is well worth the visit.
