Zachary's pizza is our family's favorite, especially the thin crust chicken and basil and the deep dish spinach and mushroom. The pizzas are always tasty, the crusts are always perfect, and the toppings/fillings always generous. We always get take out. Have never eaten there. Been getting Zachary's pizzas for 20+ years and have never been disappointed.

Any time we are in the Bay Area this is a "must stop" for us. I would agree with others that the best thing to do is to call your pizza in ahead as for the deep dish it takes about 45 minutes. This is a small place with not a lot of seating but the pizza is terrific! It... More

Zachary's is an extremely popular deep dish pizza place which can have long lines during lunch and dinner hours. You can eat inside, but the space is extremely small. It's much more popular to get it for takeout there by calling ahead. Also, check out the menu before you go. They are very creative with their offerings and you may... More

Normally I like New York brick oven style pizza but man this rocked the foundation of what I believe is good pizza. We got this stuffed chicken pizza never had stuffed pizza that's that good.

The regular pizzas are fine but really the star of Zachary's is the stuffed pizza. The chicken with basil or the sausage with peppers are both really good (and filling!)

We came here late on Saturday night which was perfect because there were no crowds! I haven't eaten here in over 15 years and it's as good as I remember it. The deep dish pizza was absolutely amazing. The crust is my favorite because it's not very doughy but packs a lot of flavor. We ordered the pizza with sausage,... More

I sampled deep dish in Chicago just to be sure...Zachary's is even better. Go for spinach, sausage and mushroom deep dish, or try a thin crust if that is more to your liking which is excellent although not quite as divine. Good salads too, and crayons for the kids.

If you're a fan of deep dish pizza, look no farther. Zachary's is the best that I've had outside of going to Chicago. They have regular crust, but if you have the time, treat yourself. The people give you the laid back vibe of the Bay Area, with the taste of the midwest. Not a ton of space inside the... More

I love Zachary's deep dish, especially the chicken, although the sausage is also good. I generally get it to go and enjoy it at home with the kids. You can also get it half baked and finish it in your oven at home. I generally go to the shop on N. Solano in Berkeley. There is one on College near... More

Zachary's Pizza makes the Bay Area's best heavyweight, traditional pizzas: thick, cheesy, intense. Zachary's tomato sauce is . . . well-seasoned tomatoes. Zachary's dough is flavorful and crisp. Zachary's small tables are set in a noisy room. Zachary's servers are friendly and funny. Our plan: order by phone, pick up, take home, and love every bite!
